Why the internet needs a new social platform for the consumer and business relationship?

in #blockchain6 years ago

For the purpose of this paper Vocit has defined an “online relationship” of a consumer and business as being able to connect, stay connected, and grow through loyalty.
Over the years, businesses have used the internet to find direct and more convenient ways of communicating, exchanging assets, and interacting with their consumers.
Social Media
Social Media has been one of the biggest impacts of the internet in the last 20 years. The concept of being able to find, stay connected, and share information with mass amounts of people has changed how the internet functions. The internet went from a total decentralized connection of webpages to centralized social platforms in the course of five to 10 years. The internet has truly become a centralized social economy as people interact with each other within the social network platforms almost more than they do in person.
The social platforms own the rules, content, and user data analytics of the platform so they can analyze user tendencies and sell them to specific marketing groups and companies. This targeted marketing from the centralized search engines and social media platforms have changed the face of marketing. Businesses can know exactly what consumers are looking for at the moment. Artificial Intelligence is even predicting what consumers will need based on their online interactions and tendencies. In a decentralized world this was not be the case unless a consumer gave the businesses access to their online data and analytics.
Vocit believes that in order to accomplish a true mutual consumer and business relationship the data needs to be back in the hands of the consumer. Centralized platforms are efficient at gathering groups of people to connect, stay connected and share content, but they in no means should be taking ownership of user data out of the hands of the user.
Vocit also believes that the current social media platforms are not built for a business and consumer relationship as they are all built with another reason in mind. Facebook is built for friends sharing information with friends. Facebook is trying to find a balance of marketing messages within the feeds, but it feels awkward and they get in the way. LinkedIn is built for professionals connecting with professionals and in fact businesses should steer their employees away from LinkedIn as they are going to get head hunted.
Facebook purchased Instagram in 2012, which has given a little more flexibility in their friends connecting with friend’s vision, but Instagram is still strictly a video and picture sharing application. Twitter has done a great job at allowing businesses and consumers to interact with each other through small blurbs, but again similar to Instagram it is such a small niche that it can hardly state they have mastered the online consumer and business relationship.
As shown above in the email section, email is winning the battle with social media in every aspect of adverting except shares. Current social media platforms are built for friends sharing with friends and are a valuable technologis in the online community. Vocit will allow consumers to share business content to their friends outside of the Vocit platform with social links attached to business posts and websites.
Despite the low performance of these techniques of promoting online customer relationship and public perception that greeted its adoption, many businesses still use the methods, spending unrealistic amounts for such failing and expensive procedures. It has been reported that nearly half of the clicks, views, likes, and other indicators of social media campaigns failed to even reach the targeted customers. Yet, businesses still prefer wasting funds that should be directed to another means of online relationship development instead of this traditional and outdated form of advertisement.
In reality, the same instances and facts occur in the some of the related approaches employed off-internet as well. Unfortunately, it is evident that these businesses are wasting valuable capital, funds, and losing clients through poor and ineffective online relationship measures. The inefficiency of these techniques hits much deeper and causes more problems than simply wasted efforts and lost profits. The whole processes undermine the relationship between businesses and customers.
As Vocit it a social platform dedicated to the consumer and business relationship it will allow for connections and growth on each side.
2.1.6 Other applications
The internet is full of platforms that allow the consumer to get instant services or information in exchange for their data. Banks have full access to a lot more information than a consumer’s currency and verifications. Banks are a typical centralized governing body that can change the rules to benefit them. Youtube and chat rooms are always following every move that a consume makes. Credit Card companies have similar issues and blogs are great but scattered throughout the internet. These platforms for business all have a purpose other to improve the the consumer and business relationship.
Advertising on these platforms are hidden and not necessarily wanted; at least at that time. Most advertising, be it on television, a computer or any social network, never seems to present itself at a time when consumers want to see it. People ultimately want to get information about a business, products and even ideas when it is convenient for them. Consumers also want to be rewarded for their loyalty, but on their own time.
It is obvious that various forms of advertising will continue to exist. These include billboards, advertising within social media, pop-up ads, phone applications and email marketing. However, we believe that Vocit can dramatically improve the relationship between businesses and their consumers.
At the forefront of the wave, Vocit has positioned itself ready to disrupt the old processes of online business relationships. We plan to build a more secure and transparent platform for conducting business in today’s global market. Vocit’s innovative technology develops a scalable, anonymous, and secure social platform promoting business relationship while still ensuring the privacy of content. As we are determined to be on the cusp of yet another disruption in the global consumer and business technological environment, Vocit seeks to introduce a new wave of innovation.

Aaron Luiz, Vocit team.
