ARTWORK - HARMONY

Good day Steemians! It has been 3 days since I last posted an artwork here on Steemit, so today I have decided to post one of my artworks. I have been working on another artwork now and it might take a couple of days before I finished it, so I just decided to post this quick sketch that I made.

If you've already watched this Japanese animé movie, then you might know this girl, her name is Miach Mihie.

While watching the movie, I was amazed with her face, her face shows how strong she is. And her eyes is beautiful. That's why I decided to draw her. I screenshot this scene form the movie where her face is focused.

So here's how I made this.

Materials:
Worx Fine Board
Ruler
Mechanical Pencil
Staedler 2B 6B 8B Pencil
Blending Tool
Grid Drawing Assistant (Application)

Again, I used the app on my phone to help me with drawing the outline, the name of the app is GRID DRAWING ASSISTANT. I inserted/added the photo on the app and set the vertical and horizontal lines to 3. After that, set it to SQUARE MODE to have equal sides. I also set the color to black and white.

I draw the gridlines the same number of vertical and horizontal lines as appeared on the app. The size of each sides is 1inch. I used 2B pencil.

Next, I started drawing the outline of the face.

After drawing the outline, I erased the gridlines.

I started with the eyeball using 8B pencil.

I also used 8B pencil for her eyelashes. And 6B for shadow on her eyes and blend it using the blending paper tool that I made. (Or you can also use cotton buds for blending).

I darken the outline using an 8B pencil.

For the hair and lips, I used 8B pencil for the darker shade and 6B pencil for the lighter shade and blend it using the blending tool. (Hair is my weakness. I still need a lot of practice in shading the hair.)

I did some finishing touches and it's done.

I hope you liked this quick sketch that I made. Honestly i still need a lot of practice in doing the hair, it really is my weakness. But I will practice more and make progress so that I will have more beautiful artwork in the future.
