Break away from smoking addiction

If anyone says smoking it bad I guarantee that person has never smoked. And if anyone says off the smoking addiction is easy yes that person also must have never smoked. I write this note not in a position to say that getting rid of cigarette addiction is difficult or ablaze. I'm looking for the "safe" only. Not as difficult as imagined but yes not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. I repeat that in this note I am not in order to claim that it is Fast! Easy! Easy! or otherwise Hard! And when I was little I hated the smell of cigarettes!

I started smoking in 1997. Momentum is when I failed to receive UMPTN and D3 wave test 1 and 2 at UGM Yogyakarta. Because I was so hopefully accepted I was shocked! Moreover, my father had told me that when he studied in private, he was not able to finance, so he hoped that I was accepted at State University. Early smoking in Jogja I coughed. No taste at all. Though it's one of the best selling cigarettes in Indonesia. But nevertheless I continue the activity of smoking even though baseball is unpalatable. Everytime I stress thinking I was not accepted by UMPTN I immediately smoke. My father and mother certainly did not know that I was smoking. I forgot but about 3 months of my smoking I started to meet where her delicious smoking. Feeling all my problems disappear when smoking. Peaceful, serene, even though it was a false one. I forgot the negative impact of the smoking habit even though it was written on the cigarette pack with the prefix GOVERNMENT WARNING !!

Then to fill my time college D2 computer program and accounting in Cirebon. Well my friends were mostly smoking and in addition one boarding house. Yes definitely deh my smoking technique more professional. And from the beginning a day just so many sticks can penetrate 1 pack a day. And start addicted. Especially after every meal wiiiih it feels very restless if baseball smoking. But unlike most people who get more confident when smoking, I'm just the opposite. If again in public very rarely smoking because even so baseball confident. I often smoke in the boarding house, while drinking coffee and playing guitar. My mom and dad once again knew I was a smoker.

Until finally I received UMPTN in 1998 at Soedirman University General Purwokerto, I still continue to smoke. And my pocket money is very mediocre. But the craving of smoking is hard to stop. Can stop any because baseball is money to buy. Later when there is money ya buy again. This stopping difficulty became acute because my intimate friends were smokers. Until my graduation in 2006 I was still smoking. Especially in 2004-2006 where I was under severe stress, I was the "exhaust run". The term is not smoke There is Fire ... but there is Smoke There I ... hue he he he, uhuk uhuk uhuk !!!

The beginning of the momentum I started to reduce smoking was in 2007 when I became acquainted with the Therapy of Mind and Emotion. At that time I bought 2 books Anthony Robbins about Neuro Associative Conditioning. In addition I also get acquainted with Hypnotherapy books. Well there are ways to stop smoking. And the results are effective. Starting in 2007 the frequency of my smoking is greatly reduced. Indirectly can stop completely. But very much reduced. A week at most 5 bars. Well this year 2011 I have separated from smoking, alhamdulillah. Since last year every 3 months I test for smoking and I can not afford to spend 1 cigarette. If it is close to half, busyet baseball good cigarette tuh. Finally I discard. I can no longer feel the pleasure of smoking. But I can still stand it if anyone smokes. I do not write this article with the intent to attack anyone who smokes. That's your birthright. But if anyone decides to stop hopefully this article can help.

So I became a heavy smoker about 10 years since 1997 until early 2007. What do I do to get rid of smoking addiction? I conclude the following steps.

As much as possible keep the intensity of your closeness with friends who smokers. This is not forever, only 3-5 months. Not away from them forever. Instead of breaking the ties of hospitality. Expand hang out with friends who do not smoke. If you are worried about your friends with a skewed side, tell your goal that you are doing therapy. Or ask them if they do not smoke.
Stop consuming "complementary stuff". Look, for example, I used to smoke there must be coffee. So when smoking always want to drink, and when coffee always want to smoke. Stop this at least 3 months to get out of addiction.

After eating. That's what causes addiction. Because smoking after eating more pleasure than other times.
Reduce cigarettes gradually do not drastically. Suppose you smoke a day 6 sticks then subtract half to 3. Continue doing gradually until no longer addicted.
Affirm your commitment to be able to survive 4 habits above for at least 3 months. Why? Because you created a smoking program also 3 months-an. So delete it is also more or less the same time. Our brains build neuro associations when in doing habituation. So because neuroasosiasi that we can remove if we force and get used. The key word is HABITS !!! As you used to create / familiarize the program then that is the key how to get rid of it.
