Homework Contest - week #3 - One point perspective. By @alessgsl

It is a pleasure to participate in this homework contest dictated by Professor @jorgevandeperre. In this opportunity, the task is to represent squares and rectangles as volumes in space, applying perspective at a point.

This technique allows you to draw any three-dimensional object having only one reference point on a two-dimensional plane. It is a type of perspective widely used by various artists to create an effect of depth in their works.

I really like this topic, ever since I practiced it in my drawing classes at university, so much so that it became one of my favorites because the procedures for making perspectives amused me.

Many thanks to @jorgevandeperre for sharing his knowledge in drawing through his excellent quality classes. I really enjoyed participating in this contest and I hope that more people will join it. Many successes to you!

1.A letter-size white sheet of paper

2.HB and 2B graphite pencils

3.Squares and ruler

4.An eraser

1.I drew the line at eye level and the vanishing point with the HB pencil and ruler.

2.I drew several rectangles and squares in different places, using the 2B graphite pencil and the set squares.

3.With the HB pencil I drew the lines from the corners of each figure to the vanishing point.

4.On the previous lines, I proceeded to make the hidden lines of each figure to give them volume. I did this using the HB pencil and ruler.

5.Once the previous step was completed, I proceeded to erase the hidden lines and those that go to the vanishing point, as explained in the class. Then I highlighted with the 2B pencil the visible parts of each three-dimensional figure.
