My 2017: Welcoming the new year - 2018 from Munich

Happy New Year to all of you!!!

Following the challenge by @anomadsoul, where the details can be read in this post of his, I show you how we welcomed 2018.

We went out in the city of Munich where we live on the Luitpoldbrücke (bridge) near the Friedensengel (Angel of Peace) monument. It is not a real Angel, but in his almost 150 years history people called it like that.

We arrived 10 minutes to 12, so almost late but it was relatively quiet compared to the whole day till then. We could hear most of our neighbours where they are from according to their native time zone. The biggest fireworks have been lit by our Russian and Turkish neighbours who have a time difference of 2 hours to CET.

10 seconds to midnight I caught this on camera and after that I started filming. The feeling and the image was better in real there. The whole city was lighted up by the fireworks, as you can see from the following images:
