Haha... imagine my surprise when this open-ended question came up on Cindicator! Sure, there is every possibility that there will be other crytos that will moon like crazy and give huge returns... but STEEM is more than just a token, it is a community (a group of communities...), and it is a form of expression, discourse and interaction. There is so much potential behind this project of ours that isn't just about the money.

Gaming, Art, Music, Blogging, Photography... everything is represented here, all interests and from all cultures and nations through the world. This is the one crypto that I hope will last through this crypto-winter and see it's just rewards at the end... because, it really is more than just the money!

Keep Your Crypto Holdings Safe with Ledger

Ledger is one of the leading providers of hardware wallets with the Ledger Nano S being one of the most popular choices for protecting your crypto currencies. Leaving your holdings on a crypto exchange means that you don’t actually own the digital assets, instead you are given an IOU that may or may not be honoured when you call upon it. Software and web based wallets have their weakness in your own personal online security, with your private keys being vulnerable in transit or whilst being stored upon your computer. Paper wallets are incredibly tiresome and still vulnerable to digital attacks (in transit) and are also open to real world attacks (such as theft/photography).

Supporting a wide range of top tokens and coins, the Ledger hardware wallet ensures that your private keys are secure and not exposed to either real world or digital actors. Finding a happy medium of security and usability, Ledger is the leading company in providing safe and secure access to your tokenised future!

Yah crypto took a huge hit in general and steem was just caught in the crossfire. So many people transacting in so many ways like posting, commenting, upvoting, contests, powering up, delegation, sbi shares, paying for stuff and so much more.

I figured while some cryptos are just held on speculative value, steem would be the one to consistently rise while the bear goes into hibernation.

We are not simply buying at the bottom, we are powering up our individual steem businesses.

Outside of steem, I would say litecoin for when people start buying and selling due to its mainstream availability (on exchanges,) inexpensive was of transaction, and speed of transaction.

But definitely steem for me.

I hold Litecoin... but I am a little wary of it's future success... in many ways, there isn't anything that really differentiates it from other projects around it. It used to have a leg up on BTC, but that gap is closing fast with second-layer solutions.

Honestly, I hadn't realized how good Steem was doing until I saw someones portfolio update and Steem is up pretty big compared to most others in the top 50. It's up something like 10 spots I think since the beginning of the year.

It really was a bit of a stunning week for STEEM last week! This week, not so much... but holding ground, which is good!

Oh man...that's gonna be hard to choose. Doge still stays as one of my favourite coins but if I can only hold one I think I'll just take Steem as well.

Who knows if we can integrate them together in the future, hehe

Doge! The unsinkable joke coin! I'm a little wary of doge as it doesn't seem to receiving much development (not dApps or anything like that... just core development...)

You know that coin is up to something when its community is probably in some way healthier than what we have over in Steem...just smaller in size. They do have active development, last commit sitting at 4 days ago. It's just not significant enough for people to scream over it because it's pretty stable and good so not much maintenance needs to be done.

Yeah, I worry more about the ability to react quickly to security holes or things like that... Anyway, I hold some and you are right, the community is pretty ace!

Well, as far as I know they forked the client off something else, so if something is discovered a lot of people will dive in to get that solved ;) Power of open source.
