Allgäu Adventures Day 1 - Bergwaldpfad and Lech River
On our first morning in the Allgäu, we took it a little easier. As we only reached the town of Füssen shortly before noon due to the fact that we were arriving by car, we didn't want to immediately rush into an hour-long hike. Therefore we decided to look at the whole thing from above first and went on the treetop path.
An unserem ersten Vormittag im Allgäu sind wir es erst einmal etwas ruhiger angegangen. Da wir bedingt durch die Anreise mit dem Auto erst kurz vor mittag den Ort Füssen erreichten, wollten wir uns nicht sofort in eine stundenlange Wanderung stürzen. Deshalb entschieden wir uns dafür dass Ganze erst einmal von oben zu betrachten und begaben uns auf den Baumkronenweg.
The treetop path is part of the forest adventure center in Füssen and a very special attraction for young and old. On the 21 meter high and almost 500m long path along the treetops you have a breathtaking view of the wild river landscape of the Lech, as well as the mountains and the foreland in Bavaria and Tyrol
Der Baumkronenweg ist Teil des Walderlebniszentrums von Füssen und eine ganz besondere Attraktion für Jung und Alt. Auf dem 21 meter hohen und knapp 500m langen Pfad entlang der Baumkronen hat man eine atemberaubende Aussicht über die Wildflusslandschaft des Lechs, sowie ins Gebirge und das Vorland in Bayern und Tirol
The alluvial forest path and the mountain forest path are also part of the forest adventure center. On the alluvial forest path, for example, you can cross the river that flows through the forest in various ways. Over 1.5 km you can learn a lot about the Lech River and have fun at the same time. it's meant more for the little ones, but i had fun too! ;)
Auch der Auwaldpfad sowie der Bergwaldpfad sind Teil des Walderlebniszentrums. Auf dem Auwaldpfad bespielsweise kann man auf verschiedenste Arten den Fluss, welcher durch den Wald hindurchfließt, überqueren. Auf 1,5 km kann man hier einiges über den Fluss Lech lernen und dabei auch noch Spaß haben. Es ist mehr für die Kleinen gedacht, aber auch ich hatte meinen spaß! ;)
The Lech is a right 256 km long tributary of the Danube and really one of the most beautiful rivers I've seen so far. Shortly before the German-Austrian border, it forms an artificial waterfall, the Lechfall, together with the Vils. The Lechfall, together with Neuschwanstein Castle, is one of the main attractions for tourists. When you see it, you realize why.
Der Lech ist ein rechter 256 km langer Nebenfluss der Donau und wirklich einer der schönsten Flüsse die ich bisher gesehen habe. Kurz vor der deutsch-österreichischen Grenze bildet er zusammen mit der Vils einen künstlichen Wasserfall, den Lechfall. Der Lechfall gehört zusammen mit dem Schloss Neuschwanstein wohl zu einer der Hauptattraktionen für Touristen. Beim Anblick wird einem klar warum.
