ENTER INTO COVENANT THAT GUARANTEES YOU LASTING FAMILY BLISS

On this post, I will be writing on ways to enter into covenant with God that will guarantee lasting family bliss for you all the days of your life.

1. HONOUR YOUR PARENTS

Honour thy father and mother, which is the First commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on earth. Ephesians 6:2-3

Whether you are married or single, for things to be well with your relationships, your marriage, carreer and your life generally, you must fulfil your covenant responsibility to your parents.

It is not well with many Christians today because they have disobeyed the commandment. It is neither well with their business nor with the their families.

honour your father and mother....... This is the first commandment given to the Pentecostal church of Jesus Christ.

God has placed a great value on parents and has given us an undeniable responsibility towards them. The way you are relate with them tells on your well-being.

If you are eating so well in your home, enjoying yourself while your parents are else suffering hunger and deprivation, Wat watch it! it may be well with you for a season but not for all seasons.

You can't be eating turkey, beef, chicken, salad etc while your parents are elsewhere virtually starving. God said it won't be well with you.

You say, But I pay my tithe! Yes, but the scriptures cannot be broken. It is the commandment you are breaking that is breaking you.
The later part of Ephesians 6:3 says:

.....and thou mayest live long on earth.

This is an assurance that no form of accident can claim your life, neither can witches and wizards. Because you are on a covenant wavelength with God, your life will not be cut short.

There is something in parental blessing and you may have to consciously and deliberately provoke it as in the case of Issac and Jacob (Gen. 27:3-29).

Parental blessings are very crucial to our well being. They are important as the blessing of God. It is part of the covenant that connects you and I to do divine Providence.

Ensure that you honour your parents according to the level to which God has blessed you. You didn't leave the fattest calf I'm your flock and carry the blind and the lame one to them. You dont take friends to posh restaurant to feast and then send some misery sum of money to your parents, as though they were beggars.

Honouring your parents is not an admonition, it's a command. Proverbs 20:20 warns:

who so cirseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
And inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning: but the end thereof shall not be blessed.
Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee.

I am aware that some parents may have done certain unforgettable things but forget that! God says: say not thou, I will recompense evil......

That your parents have hurt you does not give you a licence to dishonour them. Nomatter what they did against you, you are not permitted to retaliate. The covenant forbids it. You are forbidden to revenge.

you have neglected your parents long enough. get I'm touch with them now and tell them you are sorry, give them a seed of repentance and watch what will happen.

Until you start doing what He commands, the struggle continues.

After Isaac ate the venison from Jacob; something leapt on his inside. His heart went out to Jacob and he poured him out a blessing, such that by the time Esau came, Isaac said his soul was empty of any more blessings. It is time to start leaping from inside your parents towards you. Whether they say the blessings or not, the covenant keeping God will watch over His words to establish it.

Whether your parents are rich or is irrelevant. If you are still financially dependent on any of your parents as an adult, it is a curse. It is not scriptural. If you let your parents enjoy you, you also will enjoy your children and your grandchildren, because whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap.

The blessing that Isaac placed on Jacob made it impossible for a curse to work against him. Jacob was not a candidate for success. Even his name marked him a failure, but he brought the venison, so he got the blessing.

Somebody says both his parents are dead, and he knows he did not do what he should have done when they were alive. I say to him honour them by doing on their behalf, whatever they would have been doing if they were alive. It's time for change

TITHES AND OFFERINGS
In addition to your covenant obligations to your Parents, you also have a covenant responsibility to God and the advancement of His kingdom on earth through your tithes and offerings.

New Living Translation Malachi 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!

Your delightful commitment to this covenant demand will keep the heavens opened over you and terminate all the activities of the devour in your home and finances.
