Dinner from the Boarding Place

When I came here, my boarding aunty agreed to give me dinner every day. She was already preparing dinner for some of the people who are in the boarding places. She didn’t tell me about the price of the food at the start. But told me that she would not ask for a big amount.

I don’t eat any meat or fish. I only eat eggs as an animal product. And I don’t like some of the vegetables either. But I can eat only with dhal curry and another dish. My mother told this to aunty at the start and she agreed to it.

So I was hoping for one or two dishes for dinner. I was surprised to see the food she gave me. Usually, we only cook about two or three curries for dinner. But here, the dinner is so different. There are many curries. Specially, there is one egg per day. I told aunty that I don’t need an egg for a day. But she advised me to eat as I need energy and that is the only thing I eat from these kinds of foods.

In the first weeks, I had a very heavy dinner, I asked aunty to reduce the potion. But she only reduced a little. After some days, I felt that I am gaining weight and I just go to bed after having dinner and getting sleepy, so I asked her to give me one cup of rice per meal only. After that, the problem was solved. I feel like it is healthy this way.

She only got a very little amount for the food. Not only dinner, but also I had some breakfasts from there. And aunty gave me desserts like puddings, ice cream, chocolate, and yoghurts when she had. It was not about money. and she arranges the food in the plate very nicely. She does all the process keenly. I am really happy with how they treat me.
