Redefining tourism with a restaurant

I have blogged about this restaurant twice I believe, but everytime when I go back to my home town in Ipoh, I find myself having difficulties to NOT visit them over and over again. Once again, I would like to introduce you a seafood restaurant that sell absolutely affordable Chinese cuisine with marvelous table service. If food can help to promote tourism, this restaurant will be the game changer for food tourism!

Why would I recycle material? I did not recycle material, matter of fact the photos are all new, the food I ordered are different for the most of the dishes. However, some of the "must have food" has been ordered again. And for the biggest reason this restaurant has been reintroduced over and over again, because we're still exploring their menu! Come on let's face it. The Chinese saying goes, any animal has their back facing the sky, can be eaten. ROTFFLMFAO! But don't worry, we're modern people, not the caveman, so ordinary food is good enough for us, we're only experiencing different type of cooking style. Steem fish we ordered this time, is a little different. Came with fermented beans, fried radish with chopped chilies, and its being served in soy sauce. The fermented bean is quite salty, but it's good since the fish meat has not much taste other than the river smell(river fish in a seafood restaurant, that's the trick to eat affordably).

The last time we're here, we had the minced meat tofu bean curd, this time we go for fried radish and minced meat bean curd. Don't you think they're the same, with those radish in place, it gives a lot more chewable sensation to the tofu itself, which is usually proven to be too soft.

LazyMom suddenly has the craving for curry broth, so we ordered a pot of curry vegetables, consist of eggplant, long beans, ladies finger, cabbage, and bean curd. The curry broth has the coconut extract smell out of it, and definitely goes well with white rice.

Here comes the recycle part of the restaurant review. Our family have kids, and those kids doesn't really take green. In order for us to force them to have some greens, the best way to do it is omelet the greens with egg. Best part is, this is the biggest portion large size omelet, and it only costs RM15. The dish came 2nd last, but finishes within 5 minutes. That being said, this dish not only good for kids, adults like it too.

And let's not forget the sweet and sour chicken, we had to order the large portion since the whole family likes this dish!

Now this is something new, my dad had insisted to try this dish, called 三杯鸡, it means 3 cups chicken. As far as I know, the seasoning they use are 3 different cups of different cooking liquor being mixed into it and cook it. The dish has a taste of alcohol aroma in it. And then my mom also ordered an extra plate of boiled vegetable. which I don't even bother to take a picture of it.

Finally, let's check back the bill for comparison. It does feels a little more expansive than our previous visit, however the boss told us the fish we're having this time is larger, and also due to raining season, fishes are harder to catch because these river fish would tend to hide beneath the river bed more often, hence the price is higher. I did a comparison from 3 months ago, it is. Then the rest of the deal are around the same except for 2 more, my mom ordered another plate of vegetable that costs extra 9 bucks, and the 3 cup chicken pot actually took away another RM30. Could have use that to enjoy another huge plate of sweet and sour pork.
