Powerup | #club100 | Tropical theme on a concrete wall in Grand Baie, Mauritius (#steemexclusive / 6 photos)

These photographs of art painted on a brick wall were taken in Grand Baie, Mauritius. The wall is built around a garden and an older house. This house now contains the city library. Right next door is the city's police station. Grand Baie has around 6000 inhabitants, but when it's high season for tourist there are a lot more. Grand Baie is located by the sea and has lots of hotels, restaurants and shops, bars and nightclubs. A popular tourist destination.

One day I passed by, I looked into the garden and saw that the concrete wall has art painted in different colors. The theme is nature and wildlife. Flowers and plants. Butterfly, bird, turtle and possibly a whale if I do not see completely wrong.

But there is a fence a few meters from the wall, so I could not get close. The gate was closed with a padlock, so I had to look through the opening in the fence and when I took the pictures, I lifted my mobile over the fence. On the photo above you can see the police station behind the wall.

Here I was standing in the corner and could not come close to this beautiful painting. But I think it was a pleasant surprise to see how the wall is decorated in colors and with plants and wildlife from the island.
