Beautiful Sunday, Sublimely So!
The glow of the light fed the illusion that was building in my mind. Only the sweet memories remain inside me, the ones of days gone by. The fireplace is on, even though the weather doesn't warrant it. The feeling is reflected in my #SublimeSunday by @c0ff33a. You can read his post here

OMG girl no one can shoot ornaments quite as nice as you do! I remember trying to tell you that over on 8app many moons ago lol. It must be because they mean so much to you, that it comes through in the photo!
May I say your house always looks so warm and cheery! It must be the fire and the beautifully done decorations that makes it so nice. I find it to be an inspiration as well. Well it could be that awesome looking fruitcake that has me sitting in a stupor and dwelling like a dog lol!!

I’m happy to not yet be buried in snow like my family is back home, but I sure do miss fireplaces, fruit cakes, and holiday spirit. I hope you have a great holiday weekend.
Hehe!! You must come from the Northern tier! I originally come from Connecticut and i know they have snow up to here! points to knees Well, perhaps not that high, but, from their crying, you would think so.
I have a fireplace, but, don't really need hardly ever. But, the fruitcake! Oh, yes! I love making and giving it out. Everywhere I have lived in the world, I have given my neighbors fruitcake. So I know there is more than one fruitcake circling this globe, contrary to popular belief.

Yeah, I’m from Western NY, in the snowbelt around Lake Ontario. They tend to get their fair share of snow there.
You may have inspired me to dust of my baking skills and try making a stollen this year as well as some cookies.
Oh, yes!! Stollen sounds a perfect way to ring in those holidays! I have already done two batches of fruitcake because I have to mail some to family this week.

I'm there, even though you can't see me.
Love your ornament with the coppery detail and copper ribbons. I am getting excited now to pull everything out, but I still wait, even though I have wasted most of this day. LOL... crazy.
I bought a silver tinsel pencil tree for my bedroom to put the vintage ornaments on that have belonged to my Grandmother and Mother. Mom is still here, but at some point she decided not to use some of hers anymore, so I have them already ! That tree has been up and on about 2 weeks, prelit in white, waiting for the treasure's it gets to hold.
Now.... pour me a brandy and give me a hunk of that fruitcake. I'm ready to start celebrating 1
How cool!! I have a tinsel tree from my grandfather and I have another pencil tree in the foyer. They are just the right size to fit in a tiny place.
How nice that you get to use some of the vintage ornaments. I don't have enough to cover a tree, so I mix them in with my other ornaments. :)

Oh ! I wish I had a vintage tinsel tree ! I love those things. One of my Grandmother's had one, silver with only shiny blue glass balls..... and the color wheel of course. Who knew later those crazy things would hold such great memories..... and HIGH prices !!
I don't have enough vintage ornaments to nicely cover even my silver pencil tree, but since the tree looks fine when it's white lights are on, even with no ornaments, I'm not going to mind that the ornaments are sparse. Most of the ornaments are smallish and might disappear in the colorful menagerie on my main tree. Besides, any excuse to have another tree..... and it goes in my quiet bedroom so nicely.
Your kids ?? I had to finally admit that some of my own ornaments were vintage.... sigh..... I'm vintage. Maybe a few of my oldest glass ones will make it on there too. I don't have a topper yet though. Waiting for something special and perfect to come into view.
What do you mean Brandy in the morning ?? !! It's the holidays, there is no five o'clock....LOL... Eat... drink.... and be Merry however..... whenever you can make it happen ! Are you ever supposed to dilute really good brandy?? I thought that was against the rules. :).... .like I really know anything about really good brandy.
