I went out on the deck of the ship to observe the Antarctic sky. I noticed that there was no wind or clouds, and there was the aurora australis, brilliant and beautiful, as always, with its green, violet and blue lights. They looked like giant wisps of light. I thought that maybe that's why the Vikings associated them with the tails of foxes.

My companions left me alone on the boat. It was a Saturday and there was a musical show at the port club. But I preferred to stay because I had to check some things on social networks. My eyes looked at the sky almost without blinking, but suddenly I saw something fly and approach the place where I was. It was not a bird. It wasn't Superman. It was not a plane. It wasn't a drone, because it was a big, oval ship, about a hundred feet long. It didn't make any noise either. And stopped short up the boat.

I stayed quiet watching that thing. A few minutes ago I had had two glasses of whiskey and perhaps because of that I felt a little braver and more serene. Then I thought: “It seems that they already saw me”. And it occurred to me to signal them with the flashlight, flashing the light three times. And they answered me in the same way, but at each blink they placed sound. So I yelled at them: “Who are you?! What are you looking for?!” But there was no answer.

And after a few seconds the ship moved away and vanished among the aurora roots.
