Good morning traders and a happy holiday! A sea of red has been sweeping over the markets, let's not dwell too much over that - Wall Street didn't set up all these fancy exchanges to short those cryptos to 0.

Legendary NYSE trader Art Cashin has sent out his annual poem, as he does every year. As usually, the poem touches many subjects, that have left it's mark on the economy or in our minds. Amongst other things, Art mentions Donald Trump's tweets and Bitcoin in his poem.

Did you hear the story about Long Island Iced Tea? Their stocks soared 500% after they chaged their name to Long Blockchain. Scott Nations, author of "A History of the United States in Five Crashes", says that this scenario is almost a copy of what happened in the late 90's during the dotcom bubble - companies that had nothing to do with internet, started calling themselves internet companies with accompaning press releases, in hope to make the big bucks, but without fully understanding what that meant. Traders are crazy - that, or some of them have too much money. Trading records released by LedgerX show that someone made a giant bet that Bitcoin should reach 50K by the end of 2018. Apparently an unidentified trader bought BTC call options for that target for around $1 million.
