Steemit was Down

It seems that you can get quite accustomed to something and you don't even notice it until it isn't there. That is what happened to me today with Steemit, I usually start looking at the platform from the time I get up and then continue doing this throughout the day.

Well Steemit wasn't available for the most part of the day and I was getting kind of worried, luckily I tried busy.org and there was a notice there that they were working on a hardfork and that therefore Steemit was down and would be up as soon as possible.

Well I didn't quite understand why it was down, but the important thing was that they were working on it and that was good enough for me. Of course with the situation Steem's price is at right now these downtimes I don't think are good for the platform, but if they are for improving it I guess we shouldn't be complaining too much.

Let's see what the hardfork brings, I think it is on September 24th., hopefully it will improve the user experience and as a consequence could have a positive impact on the price, which really needs to go up.

For now Steem is hovering between $0.70 and $0.75 and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, hopefully this will change starting on the 24th of this month.

As for the downtime I checked just a few minutes ago and happily the platform is online again and we are all able to access Steemit again.
