PART 2: Visit The Church of the Holy Sepulchre With Me in Jerusalem, Israel
The second day of our stay in Israel, we joined the tour to the Old Town in Jerusalem. Before you come, you really have to do some research if your are not a believer of the religion like me. Still, you can feel enjoy the art and history from The Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
From outside, the church looks so broken and we can't believe it's a significant and historical church!
The arts on the ceiling are the stories about the sacrifice of Jesus.
The Altar of the Crucifixion, where the Rock of Calvary can be seen behind protective glass.
The Stone of Anointing, where Jesus' body is said to have been anointed before burial. People place their hand or forehead on the stone when praying and crying.It's emotional when seeing that...
The tomb of Jesus is located in the center of the hall.
This is really a special, unique and emotional experience for me, especially when seeing the believers' emotion and action. It makes me rethink about how religion impact a person in both ways and how my life should be...

A beautiful place ! Seems like it carries a lot of historical and religious context and such a place is always fascinating :) The photos you've posted here are very nice as they capture a lot of details and personalities.... That one with the people touching their head or hands onto the stone is very moving...
