Grape festival in Bardolino | CLUB 100 | STEEMEXCLUSIVE
Hello fellow travellers, in today's post I want to show you what I did during my weekend, I took part in a beautiful grape festival, which I had not attended for about three years, in a place that I consider to be very beautiful located on the largest lake in Italy, the famous Lake Garda, a destination chosen by many foreign tourists when they come to Italy.
Below, I also share with you the complete map, so you can better understand where this important location on Lake Garda is.
As I was saying, Bardolino is a municipality of about 8,000 inhabitants, and is one of the most popular tourist destinations, especially for people arriving from Germany and Austria. It offers a great deal in terms of accommodation, with many campsites, but Bardolino is world famous for its wine, in fact there are many vineyards near here, and at this time of year the grape festival is celebrated.
So yesterday I took part in this great festival, which takes place mainly along the lakeside, with lots of wine cellar stands to taste the wines, and also a good gastronomic offer with typical local products.
I have to be honest, I did not expect all these people, but certainly for the tourism operators in the area this can only be a pleasure, especially after two years of the pandemic, which penalised this event.
I often come to these areas on weekends, but honestly I had never seen so many people
There were all kinds of stands, where products were also sold that were not strictly from the area I realised, lots of Sardinian products, but also lots of products from Sicily, of course you could also taste the various wines that are produced in this area, lots of red wines that I like.
The only thing is that prices have really gone up compared to other years, this is certainly due to the inflation that is affecting Italy.
I took advantage of this, too, to do a tasting, I tasted the chiaretto di bardolino, a very fragrant, intense wine with a currant aftertaste, a very delicate wine that impressed me a lot, and I accompanied this tasting with a very good fried fish, fish from the lake of course.
In the end I spent 5 € for the bottle of wine, and 4 € for the mixed fried food, just to give you an idea of what level the prices were at.
Then during the party, I noticed that people were practically all standing by the lake, so I asked a gentleman why, and he explained that they were taking their seats to watch the fireworks display that was to take place towards evening.
But I was very tired to wait for the fireworks, I just took a picture you have beautiful sunset there at that time.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and I thank you if you read it to the end. I hope I managed to briefly tell you about this festival that takes place every year at the beginning of October in Bardolino, but I plan to bring you more about Lake Garda later, because it is an area I want you to discover.
I wish you a good day and see you in the next post!
