Travel days in March.

Last month I took a little attempt to cover at least half of our country. Travelling has always been a part of mine and we try to at least make one trip per month. But we could travel more than one place last year.

1. Vavunia

I could not be excited more than I have been excited of this trip. This was a special journey because we travelled by the train. We prebooked 1st class tickets and got into the train at 5.30a.m. It took 5 hours for us to land in Wavunia, but it was a very smooth and comfortable ride. I had one on one feedback session with my lecturer at 8.30 a.m. very day, so I had to join the zoom meeting while I was in the train. Luckily, it had a moderate data signal to prevent me from being in trouble. What I enjoyed most in Wavunia is their food. I ate until there was no more space even to breathe in.

2. Kandy

Kandy is a place that we try to visit at least once a year. So we got ready to make our annual trip to Kandy. It was kinda raining those days, so we couldn’t stay outside much. But we went for little night walks to find new restaurants to dine in.

3. Nuwara Eliya

This is another destination that we try to frequent. This time would be one of the memorable Nuwara Eliya journeys because we booked a hotel room with an attic. I could not help but reminding myself of the book title “The Madwomen in the Attic”. Even though we visited the same places that we have been visiting for years, each time becomes a memorable time cz it’s fun to travel together.

So overall this month has been an exciting month with so much travelling. I have been always moving from one place to another with trips, being at home and boarding, but it was a well-spent month.
