The painting was done in oils, is 12” x 9”, and it’s on birch (unframed).

@harctor Ha! Thank you so much! I'll take that as a compliment ;) You know, I suppose that could be some kind of archetypal self projection in that I have in many ways seeked guidance and direction in my own life. These ancient stories really do repeat themselvesd over and over in everyone's life!

Excellent artistic work, I think that the hands are one of the parts of the human body that are more difficult to draw and paint, this by the play of shadows and shapes.
In art, there is no need for color; I see only light and shade. Give me a crayon, and I will paint your portrait.
