Steem Game Dapps Proposal and Mini Games with ads and incentives lures influencers and investors to signup on Steemit

in Steem Alliance2 years ago

Just a short info regarding a dapp. A dapp, or decentralized application, functions similarly to the various apps that can be found on your phone, such as Facebook, Instagram, Gmail, and YouTube; these apps all run code that the company created so that you can interact with their business. However, unlike Facebook or Tiktok, this app reports back to the blockchain, and you are only interacting with the blockchain through the app.

Game Link on Github

Before i share my thoughts on how Game Dapps or mini games with ads, A few years back, I made a significant contribution to deveerei's Steem Cannon game on github. Together, we created this animation or gif, which is probably going to be the actual game animation when it is played. This is the Steem Cannon's Tank/Cannon, and I included it in my earlier donation along with the Steem-Enemy Cannon's and damaged particles, as well as the Steem-Bullet.

Graphics Contribution I made

Please allow me to present to you my suggested cannon design for Steem-Cannon. The animated cannon is just a gif that I created using Microsoft Powerpoint since I wanted to see how it would appear against the Steem-Cannon game background.

Additional Graphics Contribution to the Game Steem-Cannon: ENEMY, STEEM-BULLET AND ENEMY PARTICLES

Hello everyone, let me show you my proposed cannon design for Steem-Cannon, you can see the animated cannon below, which is just a gif that I prepared using Microsoft Powerpoint, I just wanted to see how it looks with the Steem-Cannon game background.

My Thoughts on Steem Game Dapps and Mini Games

  • It will improve steemit engagement significantly

We can't deny the fact that the other platform engagement with audiences performs really well and outperforming steem pretty much specifically with how well they developed their dapp games which invites signups organically. How they took incorporate the game that also serves as a promotion to signup in their platform, so even players who doesn't care on a blogging platform suddenly began to hop in on creating articles.

  • Lures Investors, users and gamers and even influencers

Basically you get incentivized not just by investing and playing on nft games but you'll get rewarded as well for joining contests and writing articles on "how to play this game? , how to defeat certain cards?, and so on" Not only they optimized their search engine but also lures investors and influencers as well. Ofcourse Steemit couldn't just create a bunch of games that will just be thrown into a rubble. I think @donekim's proposal to revive utopian will come into play, steemit needed a dapp or community like utopian for the success of this project. You can also read donekim's article here https://steemit.com/hive-101145/@donekim/suggestion-creating-a-new-open-source-contributor-reward-platform-based-on-sp-delegation#@julstamban/rkeom2

  • Minigames with ads helps retain user, influencers and investors

This was my rough and vague idea, but these are my opinions on the subject. Steemit's ad revenue will be turned to either burning steem or awards for contests that would be fairly dispersed among community accounts, which might hold community and retain engagement between users, influencers, and investors. Users will become more inclined to join in contests with large stakes, increasing engagement. Influencers are willing to endorse Steemit to their peers and even to their blogs or vlogs because it will become a pleasant and non-boring atmosphere. Because steem will become bullish as a result of this, it will attract investors.

My comment on donekim's article regarding utopian

image.png

This is the article that i am excited to hear again, i 100% agree with this idea @donekim, I am a former Utopian Graphics lead moderator. Also utopian brought a lot of amazing contributions during that time, i think one of the problem during that time when there's almost no contribution to utopian is that the level of quality to pass a certain category is too high like a super professional level so a lot of contributors decided to not to post because of the level of requirements to get an upvote. I think there's a lot of arguments back then, tho i agree somewhat that there should be a standard on how to pass to get an upvote but it shoudn't be that high either. Just like the name suggests "Open Source Contribution" meaning most of the contributors there are just doing it for free and i think most contributors were students or freelancer and not professionals with regular daily jobs.

I think the factors or some notable pointers to consider before pursuing it again are these.

  • Leads & Moderators (Verified Steemit users with atleast 65 reputation)

  • there should be separate teams per category

  • discord channels team work

  • there should be moderators from different nationalities to avoid bias judgement

  • there should be given task or assignment per week just like steemitcrypto academy (but contributions should not be limited to given tasks only)

  • contributions to projects related to steemit should be prioritized or should receive much higher upvotes.

there are many factors that should be considered but for now that is all i can think of.
