Features of Web 2.0. | 10% for @tron-fan-club

1. Dynamic and highly interactive websites:

Web 2.0 is a new or second-generation website through which multiple people share their information with each other online which was not possible before. Web 2.0 is an incremental version of Web 1.0. The website that was designed in web 1.0 was static HTML, that is, what was written in the code of HTML was displayed in the website, and no changes could be made to it. To make any changes, it had to be re-coded. And the developer had to change it.

If the developer inputs any content on the website once, it will be displayed again and again. That is if you access a web page, the content will be shown for the first time, even if you see it 100 times, the same content will be shown. This is a static webpage.

But in Web 2.0, websites are not only dynamic, they are highly interactive. Interactivity in Web 2.0 is made possible through AJAX (Asynchronous javascript and XML). AJAX keeps the browser connected to the web server and downloads small amounts of information in the background, making the page look dynamic. The web page that needs to change along with the user interaction is downloaded only so the entire content of the rest of the web page remains the same. As a result, the website provides a much faster response to the user, which results in a very good experience for the user to visit the website because it does not take much time for any web page to reload.

2. Blogs:

Blogs are where people express and update their thoughts, knowledge and they talk about their lives which are made possible by web 2.0.

3. Social networking:

Users can easily share their information on Facebook where the user has a specific profile and user can communicate with his friends.

4. Network as a platform:

Users can deliver information and applications entirely through a web browser. For example, Google docs and spreadsheets, through which the user can share information from one person to another with the help of online without downloading any kind of application to his computer.

User participation: In Web 1.0, only website builders or companies that created websites could provide their content to users. But in 2.0 user participates in content sourcing which is known as crowdsourcing. For example Wikipedia and Youtube etc.
