This Always Happens
As soon as I'm seated, a waiter appears to take my drink order and, even if I know what I want to eat, they convince me to wait until they return with my drink. Then, someone else from the bar brings the drink over, an Orderville unfiltered IPA from Modern Times Brewing in this case. And then, the waiter keeps me...well, waiting. Of course I can't ignore that foamy head and enticing hop aroma.
Invariably, I finish my beer before I finish my food, the sausage and garlic flatbread at Finneys in this case. So, now I'm beerless with a pizza to finish. The waiter is right there again, "Another beer?" they ask. "Ye...", I start to say and then catch my wife's expression. "No thanks. I'll take a water." :-(

I was terrible with my first beer, I would always order two, because i would finish the first before they even finished serving drinks if there was more than 4 of us LOL
That's my trick during happy hour. Get two at the cheaper price. But then my wife will remind me that getting only one is even cheaper :-D
LOL, MY Wife gave up on reminding me that, I am cheap now though only order water
