Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 5 Week 4 - Special Food For Dinner Parties

Suggest special meals appropriate for special occasions such as dinner parties.

There are various special dishes such as a Dinner party that can be served deliciously and full of meaning.
There are several specialty pickles in my area that make special dishes such as events;

1. Birthday of the Prophet

This is a special celebration of the Prophet's birthday. This event is held once a year and is also the most awaited big event, besides the meaning of course there are special dishes made such as;

• White cooked chicken
• Red cooked chicken
• Shrimp sambalado
• melinjo crackers
• Beef and Soup Soup
• Fried chicken

This food will be served and eaten together starting from the evening of the event until the next day when the event is held, even in the meunasah or mosque, people will sit in rows and enjoy it together.

2. Wedding party

Every wedding in a country and even a region has a special dish. And in my area, North Aceh, there are several special dishes that are usually prepared at weddings;

• young jackfruit
• banana leaf vegetable
• Banana curry gravy
• meat well (beef/chicken)
• shrimp crisp
• vegetable urap
• fried salted fish
• sweet chili
• taoco
• rendang

This special dish is usually cooked by a cook and assisted by the community, while the main menu, such as meat wells, is cooked by the villagers.

3. Dinner with family

The special dishes served are various, depending on the choice of place, but generally there will be several menus such as;

The dishes chosen are usually heavy dishes, especially since Indonesia is a state that cannot be separated from rice, it feels incomplete if you don't eat rice. Usually events with a menu like this are enjoyed in restaurants and places we want and of course the price has also been made, therefore eating special foods in places like this can be ordered as desired.

What are the health benefits?

The special menu is usually cooked with fresh spices. Therefore, this particular food has quite a number of health benefits such as the many nutrients from its ingredients. In addition, this spice is believed to be able to treat various diseases and can also increase appetite. Everything is fine if eaten in moderation and not in excess.

Why did you choose this special meal for this occasion?

This special food usually has a very delicious taste, besides that this food has a distinctive seasoning, as it is well known that Aceh has foods that are rich in spices.

In addition, this food is very simple to enjoy and does not take long so it will save more time, besides that every event has something unique in terms of the dish, and sometimes we can't find this every day.

This is one of the dishes I have ever cooked and served to my family and shared it with my neighbours. The banana stem curry vegetable is one of the typical dishes during a wedding feast or a feast where people are grieving. Typical foodit is rich in spices that will make this menu desirable or even missed.

The 5 ingredients used;

• red onion
• garlic
• Dried chili
• coconut cream
• turmeric
• Ue Sineuleu (dried and roasted coconut then mashed)

Why does food add beauty to special occasions?

These foods are cooked together and in a large cauldron. Usually the community will work together in cutting and grinding the spices. This adds to the meaning that this special food is thick with culture and is also usually served in a large container as well.

The taste of this food adds interest to the rest of the menu. And this is very suitable to be eaten with various other menus such as rendang, salted fish, white cooked chicken, red cooked chicken, and also crackers.
