#ulog 37 Saging Saba From My Neighbor

Hi Uloggers,

Last night there was strong wind blowing. I got awakened in the middle of my sleep. Aside from the cold winds the occasional rain kept me uneasy the whole night. From signal number one the typhoon went up to signal number two that is base from the alert text message we receive from NDRRMC.

We should not be worried about the effects of the said winds because the typhoon is headed away from my location but I still kept praying for the safety of my family and the rest of the Philippines. I had a few restful hours of sleep despite my fear. This morning one of our neighbors came by to personally hand in a few pieces of saging na Saba a kind of banana that is best boiled when ripe. These were taken down and about to be ripe in a few days. Our neighbor decided to harvest them because we never know what the winds could do so better take these bananas early before the storm. I was happy to see my neighbor come by at least the spirit of community is still alive in here. I love saging na Saba because they are delicious as a snack when boiled. You can also make bananacue by deep frying them and sprinkling some brown sugar. You can do a few more sweet snacks just be creative.
