I wish all of you a wonderful weekend. While browsing the Steemit topics I discovered that #travelfeed and #de-travelfeed exists. Ok, @de-travelfeed is currently inactive because of a curators shortage. Oh how pity, I hope someone will come and do this for them again.

However, today I report about a small town in Portugal.
This is quite unknown, because most of the interest is currently more in the stylish and fancy places like Ericeira, Nazaré, Sintré or Peniche.
I doesn’t care about the fancy hipster spots, should everything there if they like to, because I appreciate the tranquility and silence of Trafaria the most and hope that it will stay like that for a long time.
When I'm in Portugal, I like visiting this area.

Trafaria

Trafaria is a place and a former municipality in the west part of Portugal. This village belongs to Almada and can be found in the district of Setúbal. A small village which not even has an area of ​​6 km² and less than 6000 locals are living there.

As it is also right on the Atlantic, by the sea, it used to be a fisherman’s village, but in 1565 a military hospital was built here. It seems as if it was an important strategic spot, the Tagus-Deltas, the gateway to the capital Lisbon, can be visited here.

The Marquês de Pombal issued the order to burn the place on January 24, 1777, what a shame, but at that time countless young men hid themselves and pressed themselves before military service.

Years later, this place was rebuilt and in 1873 a dynamite factory was built here also.

Basically, there wasn’t much going on here, which is why I really like the place. A sleepy little village by the ocean. Nothing but waves, wind, sun and silence. A true chill out spot from the hectic big city lifestyle. Genius and a little diamond somewhere in nowhere. So, everyone who wants to leave the busy day and just need distance of the big city is just right here. Just look at the pictures and see my perspective of this village.

Ein wunderschönes Wochenende wünsche ich allen vorweg. Beim durchstöbern der Steemit Themen habe ich entdeckt, dass es #travelfeed bzw. #de-Travelfeed gibt. Ok, @de-travelfeed is inaktiv momentan wegen einem Kuratoren Mangel. Schade, ich hoffe es wird sich jemand neues finden.

Trotz allem berichte ich heute über einen kleinen Ort in Portugal.
Dieser ist recht unbekannt, da das Interesse der meisten momentan eher auf den stylischen Plätzen wie Ericeira, Nazaré, Sintré oder Peniche liegt.
Sollen diese Orte meinetwegen auch so begehrt bleiben, denn ich schätze die Ruhe und Stille von Trafaria am meisten und hoffe das diese noch lange so erhalten bleibt.
Wenn ich in Portugal bin, suche ich diese Gegend sehr gern auf.

Trafaria

Trafaria ist ein Ort und eine einstige Gemeinde westlich in Portugal. Dieses Örtchen gehört zu Almada und ist im Distrikt Setúbal zu finden. Ein kleines Dorf welches nichtmal eine Fläche von 6 km² hat und ca. 6000 Einwohner zählt (vielleicht sogar weniger!).

Da es ebenfalls direkt am Atlantik liegt, am Meer, war es einst ein Fischerdorf, doch im Jahre 1565 hat man hier ein Lazarett errichtet. Es scheint als war es ein wichtiger strategischer Standort und hatte große Bedeutung, das Tejo-Deltas, das Tor zur Hauptstadt Lissabon ist hier zu besichtigen.

Der Marquês de Pombal erließ am 24. Januar 1777 den Befehl der Ort nieder zu brennen, welch Schande, doch zu dieser Zeit versteckten sich unzählige junge Männer und drückten sich vor dem Militärdienst.

Jahre später wurde dieser Ort neu aufgebaut und im Jahre 1873 hat man hier eine Dynamitfabrik errichtet.

Im Grunde war hier sonst nicht viel los, weshalb ich den Ort auch sehr mag. Ein verschlafenes, kleines Dorf direkt am Meer. Ein wahres Rückzugsgebiet vor dem hektischen Alltag. Grandios und ein kleiner Diamant irgendwo im nirgendwo. Also, jeder der mal weg möchte und einfach Abstand der großen Stadt braucht ist hier genau richtig.
