Abu Dhabi Moschee Deu\Eng

Hallo liebe Community,
hier ein weiteres Highlight der Reise meiner Frau nach Dabai und Abu Dhabi. Der Besuch der großen Moschee in Abu Dhabi ist meiner Frau in bleibender Erinnerung geblieben. Das ist aber auch ein eindrucksvoller Bau, meine Herren.

Man fühlt sich alleine vom Betrachten der Bilder wie in Tausendundeinenacht. Man mag sich gar nicht vorstellen was das gekostet hat so einen Prachtbau da hin zu stellen. Aber den Scheichs ist das egal, deren Reichtum sprudelt ja bekanntlich aus dem Boden. Alles feinster Marmor und Gold.

Meine Frau hat die Moschee natürlich auch von innen besichtigt. Ganz korrekt Männer und Frauen getrennt, wie das im Islam so Sitte ist. Und natürlich mit Kopftuch und geschlossener Kleidung. Aber erstens ist das in christlichen Kirchen auch oft so, wie jeder weiß, der schon mal in der Sixtinischen Kapelle war. Und zweitens finde ich es auch absolut korrekt sich an die Gegebenheiten vor Ort anzupassen und diese zu respektieren. Meine Frau war zumindest ganz hin und weg und wäre gerne noch länger geblieben.

Glücklicherweise fand ihr Besuch direkt zum Sonnenuntergang statt, so dass sie Bilder bei Tageslicht, Dämmerung und in der Nacht machen konnte. Ich weiß gar nicht welche Bilder mir mehr gefallen, weil alle s schön sind. Und als dann noch der Gebetsruf weithin hörbar erschallte, war die Stimmung perfekt. Wirklich sehr schade dass ich nicht dabei sein konnte. Aber das werden wir sicher bald nachholen. Und dann werde ich noch viel mehr schöne Bilder folgen lassen, versprochen.

Hello dear community,
here is another highlight of my wife's trip to Dabai and Abu Dhabi. The visit to the great mosque in Abu Dhabi has remained in my wife's lasting memory. It is an impressive building though, gentlemen.

One feels alone from looking at the pictures like in thousand and one night. You can't imagine what it cost to put up such a magnificent building. But the sheikhs don't care, their wealth bubbles out of the ground. Everything finest marble and gold.

My wife has visited the mosque of course also from the inside. Quite correctly men and women separated, as is the custom in Islam. And of course with headscarf and closed clothes. But firstly, this is often the case in Christian churches, as anyone who has ever been to the Sistine Chapel knows. And secondly, I think it is absolutely correct to adapt to the local conditions and to respect them. My wife at least was completely blown away and would have liked to stay longer.

Fortunately, her visit took place right at sunset, so she could take pictures in daylight, twilight and at night. I don't even know which pictures I like more, because all s are beautiful. And when the call to prayer was heard from far away, the atmosphere was perfect. Really a pity that I could not be there. But we will surely make up for that soon. And then I will post many more beautiful pictures, I promise.
