5 Minute Freewrite: Friday - Prompt: kidney
Fuente
My aunt got kidney disease and came to my grandmother's house to start treatment.
-I just feel that if my kidneys no longer work, then I have to let it run its course to the end. -
I remember overhearing part of this conversation between my aunt and the pastor of her church.
They were sitting in the hallway of the house, and that's what I heard, I never knew what the pastor answered.
But over time I remembered and understood what my aunt meant.
Her treatment consisted of dialysis twice a week, my aunt was hesitant to undergo this treatment.
She at 64 years old looked strong and jovial, she loved reciting poems and attending her Sunday service.
She used to lie in my grandmother's bed at night to read the Bible.
When she started treatment, she packed her bag, where she kept a portable TV to watch the soap opera while she was on dialysis.
She also packed some slippers and some food for after the treatment.
Her younger sister, who had her car, was in charge of taking her to the medical center, and she stayed there until everything was over, to bring her back home.
Her life was peaceful and she seemed happy, apparently she had already accepted her kidney disease condition.
She was kind to everyone, always smiling and although she was approachable, I never dared to ask her anything about her treatment.
This did not last long, about 3 months would pass, and one day after finishing dialysis, when she got up from the couch, while adjusting her shoes, she suffered a heart attack and died.
I think deep down she still didn't agree to the treatment...

Greetings @scilwa and @abiga554 very grateful for your support.
My friend https://steemit.com/hive-161155/@wakeupkitty.pal/kidney did not agree either. She was forced. Three times a week picked up by an ambulance. She said if she refused they would break her frontdoor. Today sick and elderly are killed with a jab, that shot was refused to her.
