Dark and cold here, too. But temps are in the upper 30s and the moisture falling from the sky is in the form of rain rather than snow this time. It's a good afternoon for Steemin'!

lol..yes, that's true. I really like a long distance view too, so living in the woods would make me feel a little hemmed in!
One of the worst parts of living here is not being able to see the sky.
That would get a little depressing after awhile, like all winter long. I'm shocked that here we have so many days where there's not a single cloud in the sky all day. I've never lived anyplace like that.

Fog really does make for mysterious views. I think that when I go out and there is fog in the pasture across the street and I cannot see the barn on the other side. If I can't see it, is it really still there?

At first.... I thought, wow ! ..... Melinda has lots of faith in my creativity...... a fairytale. Hmmm I might could do that, then I saw the comment below from @traciyork and realized that I had possession of your response to her. :) no problem ! I'll share. :)

I always say I have "fairytale brain"....... who knows what could come out of it.
I had a wonderful nap today. I watched a stand up comedy show that wasn't too great, then turned on a fireplace film that had light Christmas music and took a nap in my living room chair. THEN I watched a Christmas movie...... and later put up one of my aluminum trees ! 2nd earliest ever for me. I bought a vintage rotating base earlier this year and I couldn't wait to see it in action. No ornaments yet, although I don't put many as it is sparkly enough already I think. Of course I had another Christmas movie on while I did that. I planned..... to clean the house up all day, but most of that did not happen. LOL ! oh well.....
My nap was in my comfy chair, too. I can't wait to see your trees this year. My grandma had an aluminum tree. Such good memories.
I know I probably told it last year, but that is what made me want one, the memories of one of my Grandmother's having one. Sure are easy to take up and down and with the colorwheel, no light strings.
I have always loved putting up my trees and had a big one most of the time. Lots of lights and great ornaments and I never minded the time it took. Although I have no idea how long these will hold my attention, for now I really like the ease of them.... .well that..... and the sweet memories they provoke.
I have a bunch of Swarovski crystal ornaments and am thinking how gorgeous they would be with a light wheel!

Thanks, my friend! These are from a few years ago and I was so disappointed that we had such an early snow and didn't have a pretty autumn this year.
