I love the weight of it. It actually feels heavier than it looks. I do not know what kind of stone it is but it reminds me of granite because it looks like it has quartz speckles and is a little porous.

The green color of the stone is very subtle so the color choices for the hand-painted mandala is very complimentary.

Is it any wonder that I needed this stone in my life?

It rests on my desk where my eye wanders to its design and I feel a little more connected to the earth when I hold rocks and minerals. It really is amazing how much I've missed rocks since moving to Florida especially when I grew up and stomped around the Catskills and Adirondacks!

It's amusing when people assume I grew up in the city when I say I'm from New York. We had more cows than cabs in my old neighborhood. I'm all country, baby!
