Much as I would love to take the credit. It's the wife's green fingers that did the trick.
The video was fun. Did you see the Cape Buffalo charging into the truck?
It's at 06.30 minutes into the video. Pretty hairy moment!
The Cape buffalo is a pretty powerful creature. It lifted the back of the truck at one point in the chase with it's horns! It kills more people every year than Lions do. Yikes! Lol
Apparently not. They collect enough moisture from the atmosphere to survive long periods of drought. We are/were pretty amazed that it survived so long with no help from us? It's very happy now with it's own little feeder too. :)
Cute little plant ... if cacti can be called cute. I knew you had to water cactus but just not very much. Lots of sun and little rain:) I learned about the symbolism of cactus though. I think I might need one for around the house.
Lovely Cactus @molometer! I have a bonsai tree that has traveled with me through many moves over the past 26 years. Nice to see your cactus thriving so well.
Fun video!, but I love your cactus! I have never had one bloom. You must be treating this one exactly right!

I did...you all seemed pretty calm about it all! I can't believe the assortment of wild life you were able to see!

That is scary!! Wow! 😱
I'm not a huge fan of cacti @molometer but that one is very pretty.
I'm suprised it survived if you never watered it. Surely everything, even desert plants need some water?

Ha, ha, ha. Sounds like a pet @molometer. Glad to hear it's happy anyway. 😂
It's the best pet as it looks after itself nost of the time lol
Oh yeah they are tough, but still need some water now and again! I love cacti!!
We didn't water it in almost 8 years and it survived but never grew. Soon as we gave it some water...boom sprouting all over the place.

Have a great day. Molmeter:)
They are truly remarkable survivors and this one flowers every year now.

Isn't it a great gift that just keeps giving year after year. The Bon-sai is another favorite of mine too. Glad to hear your one is doing so well.
Yes, it IS a great gift! I had a Christmas Cactus for years, and always thought of it as a present when it bloomed at Christmastime each year 🎉
