Whats the best thing about fasting? EATING AGAIN!

in #krakow5 years ago

Best part about Fasting is to eat something again!

I just woke up an hour ago, marking 36 hours of part 2 of my first fast and decided last night that today would be an "eat-as-much-as-I-can" day. I plan to go to the city and buy a bus pass, and to go find an all-you-can-eat buffet. I went to walk the dogs as I will leave them here for the day, and also so that I could get something to eat!

From a small shop I got 2 of these and one got devoured in a mater of seconds, it (was) a fresh baked pizza thingy with mushrooms and cheese on it.

I shall do a few things today, I will go to the city main station to get a travel card and then I want to go buy some swim shorts because I will be getting a month pass to a place with a Sauna, Jacuzzi and Steem room and go indulge regularly in the 2 months that I am here in Krakow.

Its costing just 20 euro for a months membership which is crazy cheap as this is the same cost as just one visit to the one I go to in Oslo. Some things are cheap here especially the public transport and even the taxis after midnight are very cheap prices, but some things aren't that cheap as they could or maybe should be. I've not been here that long and most the time I was sat indoors fasting so haven't really gone to see the price of everything, but one thing that is confusing is the price of a cup of coffee. I am shocked though that a monthly pass for public transport in the city is costing the same as it would for me to go to two times to Oslo city to my cabin!

I read online that the average wage here in Krakow is 25 zln an hour which sounds about right in comparison with food prices, but what I don't get is that a cup of coffee, and even if its from a vending machine is costing 7 zln - 14zln which just seems a bit too much to work an hour for 2 cups of coffee!

What did I eat the last 4.5 days since being in Poland?

So, this is my 5th day in Poland, and all that I ate so far is rice and veggys from a Chinese restaurant, 3 handfuls of cornflakes, 2 smoothies that weren't so smooth, some humus and raw veggys with fries, and then just now those 2 pizza bun thingys.

Wow. I would have eaten that in like half a day if I wasn't experimenting with fasting. I noticed that yesterday my guts were a bit bad and flatulence prevailed giving me the impression that things were digesting quickly and gas was leaving my body either from the smoothies or from things I was eating before starting the fasting.

I am totally embracing this fasting "craze", and I know just from the difference of how I felt after the hunger pains were gone, that I will be doing it a lot more, quite possibly alternate days for long periods of time. Its a great feeling to feel light and to have energy more than you would if your eating 4 , 5 , 6 times a day when the body is just constantly digesting food which uses so much of the body's energy which could be used to heal your body instead.

I'm most likely feeling more alert as I didn't smoke any cannabis since 48hours + (which I plan to change today!) but for sure having an empty stomach has also played a big part in that roll also - without a doubt.

I'll take some pictures today whilst out and about, although right now those pizza bun thingy's are in my stomach and I dont feel much like moving for a while hahhaha!

One other strange thing I find is that I didn't see any black people here, apart from one woman this morning!

Have a great day everyone!

20 euros for a monthly pass is crazy cheap compared to norway. But how are the facilities quality wise?

I meant the sauna thing membership.. In any case, I think Norway ""spoiled" you a little bit!

ah sorry right yeh, the sauna was actually pritty standard and the dry sauna wasnt working :)

The steem room was tho and the jakuzzi was a type I hadnt seen before, its a shallow swimming pool like 10m long by 2 m wide, 0.6m deep with metal sun lounges shaped chairs in it, pritty cool but way way way to much chlorine in it.
I like bislett bad better lol!
