Thailand Missing School Boys Story

In the time I am posting this, the extraction effort is going on and (2) boys were already left the cave and sending to hospital, while (4) of the boys are in third chamber where they no longer need to dive under water. The boys physical condition is unknown, not yet announce officially, though world's media is on the scene.

June 23rd
It all started with 12 school boys, aged between 11 and 16, and their 25-year-old coach enter the Tham Luang cave went missing in North Thailand during heavy rains after football practice. They are reported missing by a mother after her son does not come home that night. Local officials find bicycles locked to a fence and shoes and football boots close to the entrance. In June 24th, Park officials and police find handprints and footprints believed to belong to the boys. It is assumed that the boys would have been pushed back by floodwaters.

In next day, Thai Navy Seals dive into the flooded cave with sustenance for the trapped. Speculations suggest the boys would have fled to an elevated air pocket nicknamed Pattaya Beach. Makeshift shrines are set up for parents to pray and make offerings as heavy rains continue to fall in the area near the Laos and Myanmar borders.

June 27th
A team of more than 30 American military personnel from the US Pacific Command , including pararescue and survival specialists arrived to aid the finding effort.
They are also joined by three British diving experts who go into the cave's entrance but quickly retreat because of heavy flooding.

June 28th
The underwater rescue had to temporarily halted because of the fast-moving floods inside the cave as downpours refuse to let up. Water pumps are used to drain the floodwater.

They used Drones to help look for new chimneys to enter.

June 29th
Thailand's junta leader Prayut Chan-O-Cha visits the site, leads a meditation and jokes and cooks with relatives, asking them not to give up hope.

July 1st

As weather improved since 30th June, Divers inch further into the cave, as an operating base is set up inside and hundreds of air tanks and other supplies are pulleyed in.
Conditions for rescue are “improving”, says Chiang Rai governor, Narongsak Osottanakorne.

July 2nd, Monday

Finally, the 12 boys and their coach are found alive late Monday evening about 400m beyond Pattaya Beach. They had to move away from Pattaya Beach because floodwaters had threatened their safety there.
Crowds at the teeming rescue site cheer the good news and a nation breathes a sigh of relief.
The main priority is to get them food and first aid after nine days with little to eat in difficult conditions.

And attention now turns to the difficult task of getting the boys out safely.

July 3rd
A team of medical personnel from the Thai army, including a military doctor and a nurse, arrived at the mound at 11am after making a six-hour dive-and-trek perilous journey via the cave entrance.
Much-needed food and medical supplies - including high-calorie gels and paracetamol - reach the boys as rescuers prepare for the possibility that they may remain in the cave for some time.

July 6th

Former Thai navy Seal diver Saman Kunan, who volunteered for the rescue operation, died as he was making his way out of the cave after placing oxygen tanks deep inside the underground complex.
The 38-year-old's death underscored the risks involved in bringing the 12 boys and their football coach out through the cave's cramped, flooded passageways.

But Thai authorities also warned that oxygen levels have dropped due to the number of people working in the cave.

July 8th, Sunday

Authorities announce that, with more heavy rain expected soon, the extraction operation has begun.
Rescue efforts began with 18 divers sent into Tham Luang cave. The earliest the boys would emerge could be 9pm. The divers - 13 international and five Thais - went into the cave at 10am local time. The operation could take two to three days to complete.

July 8th, Sunday. 20:00 hr

As I am writing this, update news are coming in. But no official news are coming out yet as operation is going on. Local media reports of ambulances and helicopters coming in and out of the area.

Last Update
Five boys were safely brought out on Sunday night from a cave in northern Thailand where they and seven others and their soccer coach have been stranded for over two weeks, the military and local media reported.

May all of them be safe and unharmed!! Our prayers are with them!! This is not only Thailand but hope for the humanity. We cannot leave anybody dying without any effort and help.
