Introduction

It was a very colorful day as I was able to take part in my workout in the morning, then joined my kids as their school celebrates the international day of the African child.

You will not find this post boring as it contains the presentation from the various African representatives by the kids, dances and cake cuting. videos are included for your enjoyment. Let's go!

Morning hours

It all started in the morning when I woke up to attain to my morning routine. I had in mind to go out for my morning workout and so I horried to get ready for it. I usually go there by 7am and return by 9:30 am. Today's own was very interesting as I was able to join in the various projects. The video is below

The workout took place at the Ibom National Museum park at Udo Udoma field

At home

I got home by 9:40am and it was already time for us to go to my kids school for the celebration of the International Day Of The African American which my kids had been preparing for days now and they had seriously told us "mum and dad,you must try and be there please zzzzzz". We couldn't afford to miss it. Even @madilyn02 stayed back from work for that purpose.

So I quickly showered took tea and got dressed for the vanue.

It was already 10:50am when we got there and the program had begun. We were lucky that much had not been done anyway the kids had created awareness at the neighborhood by matching round the vicinity of the school. They were back and seated at their stands according to the countries they are representing.

We have the Mali, Senegal, Cameron, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Benin Republic, Nigeria, Libia, and other African countries fully represented. Costumes were superb. You needed to be there to witness this grand occasion, but not to worry I gat you covered with pictures and videos. You will not miss anything at all.

I first took some pictures

Afternoon/Evening hours

It was already afternoon when the introduction of the shows began. The various groups representing the various African countries were called upon to present what they have, beginning with Nigeria.

Each group that comes out will tell their name, their president or king, their brief history, their culture and the challenges they are currently facing. It was just amazing, I couldn't step out of the school but glued my eyes and mind to the program untill the last set had made their presentations. They kids were wonderful. I learned a lot from the kid's presentations. There was a lot of excitement everywhere. I will add some videos to help you get the gist of what I am talking about, including the dances. You will not get tired of watching them all. Just take a look

The next are the dances and the cake cuting.

The lessons

The African child is now known in the international world unlike before when we were slaves. They all got independence from our Colonia masters and we struggled to survive.

Our languages and cultures have been preserved this day and we are proud to be known in the whole world as talented I people.

My hart still goes out to the Liberia and Libia who are still facing a lot of difficulties. Poverty and sicknesses still ravage them till today and they are struggling to survive and develop like the other African countries.

The school did very well to organize such a gigantic event. I had not witnessed such before. The proprietress and the teachers put forth great efforts to arrange the occasion to be what it was,, simply fantastic 😍😍😍😍.

It was even said that the next year celebration will be at the stadium so as to be able to invite the whole of Akwaibom State to come and witness it. It will be fun.

Conclusion

That was how my day went. I came bayho.e to prepare a little okra soup and eat with my family and then took my drugs as I am still on medication. My knees still aches but am managing it to walk around because it will be worse if I stay back home.

Thanks to you all for taking ti.e to watch and read through.

All events were covered by me with my Techno Camon 16. The event took place at Aunty Bassey Schools, Uyo

It was a great day we enjoyed, truly the African child deserves to be celebrated. It's a good thing that Africa has been transformed for the better and we still hope for the best for those countries that are still facing difficulties.
