Lepista sordida 🍄

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

After checking all our usual spots and finding nothing, we started walking back to the car and return home.

Then, suddenly on the side of the road, we saw these mushrooms, growing at the foot of the pine trees decorating the edge of the forest.

We had already encountered this type of mushrooms in the past in the grove near my house and @simba even collected them to make an omelet 😋

The "Sister" of the Lepista nuda.

Its texture is thinner and more watery, the hat is sometimes slightly translucent at its ends, the color is more faded - pinkish or yellowish-lilac, the taste and the smell are milder and weaker from the Lepista nuda.

It often grows up at the same time and places as the Lepista nuda.

This is also an edible mushroom which requires pre-cooking for about 20 minutes and pouring out the cooking water afterward.

The mushroom is relatively common, growing in groups at pine and oak groves, the edges and glades of the forest between weeds, in December-February.

Enjoy!
