OKX delisted USDT for EU (European Union) Users

in Tron Fan Club2 months ago

This time the cryptocurrency market is getting more attention worldwide and the value of various points is also increasing. We have seen how the market turns out to be bullish just after the approval for Bitcoin etf. Even now when the Bitcoin price has gone down that is not a problem because it is part of the correction. Since we have seen a significant value appreciation hence it is obvious that we are also going to see some correction in the same ratio. I think we need to prepare ourselves so that when we are happy with the bigger price, we should also be ready for the bigger price drop.

While things are going well overall still there is some negative news and the One I'm going to talk about in this post for usdt coin delisting. This is a stablecoin and this has been delisted by Okx for European Union users. The demand for stablecoins has been growing over the years and this delisting has been big news for now because users in the European Union will not be able to use this point anymore. There must be multiple exchanges in the country and Okx exchange has done it so hopefully we can see more such news coming in from other exchanges as well.

Crypto exchange OKX has ceased support for cryptocurrency trading pairs with Tether's USDT stablecoin for users based in the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA), the exchange confirmed to CoinDesk.

Delisting is not something happening for the first time but usually with stable coins exchanges are not doing this however the government regulations and rules are still on top and exchanges do not want to struggle with that. Some governments and countries are not fine with these stable coins and probably this is the reason why exchanges have to follow other ways to deal with this problematic situation.

We have also seen how BUSD has been discontinued by one of the leading exchanges worldwide. It was binance stablecoin and now its no more. It's completely discontinued and there was a time when this exchange was doing great with this stable point but now people have moved away and even the exchange has discontinued the support for this stable point anymore which means it is gone from the market now.

This is big bad news because the EU is the big market and this will surely impact in the long run. Anyway thanks for the valuable information.

Very important topics you have shared with us. Thanks for sharing,

Interesting, most exchanges are making drastic decisions now, binance for instance in my country has been ordered to show all the private data of it's users, wondering if it wouldn't be invasion of private data.
