Under the Poson Moon!

This night is going to be passed under the poson full moon. For years we have learnt why we have being celebrated Poson. Mihindu thero brought the message of buddhism to this country and in that way it made buddhist majority here. Um a lucky human being to get to know of this great philosophy. Today we see a huge gap between buddhism and buddha philosophy. Um so sad to write it here, but it's definitely a truth for this country.

That's why people are continously destroying nature for making temples to protect buddhism. They already made a temple in Hanthana area and now it has become a big threat to the nature. This writing may be somewhat negative, but I want to write about it.

There was a "Dansal" in the temple infront of my boarding house and many times they used fire crackers. I do not know how many little animals had to sacrifice their lives today to fullfil the stupid desires of these people. But the concept "Dansal" is always great. I saw many photos of those Dansals, people were sharing and adoring. Yesterday my friends participated to an ice cream Dansal held at the punchi borella junction. Unfortunately I couldn't because I had wheezing yeserday.

Today my entire day was spent at the boarding because I have exams on Monday. Felt like a long lonely day today. In the evening I stepped out, and the Poson full moon was shining it's own way. I just thought how much light Mihindu Thero has brought to this country, introducing the greatest philosophy. A calm, quite feeling suddnely entered to my body, under this beautiful Poson moon. Inside is very hot, but the outside is soo calm and cool with the winds passing through the trees!

For me this is the summary of buddha philosophy. නොරිදවා නොරිදවී ජීවත් වෙමු! නොරිදවන කොටස වගේම නොරිදවී ඉන්න කොටසත් හරිම වැදගත්!
