Restaurant Hungry, Galle

_Location

During our yesterday visit to Galle, we picked "Hungry Resturent" for our lunch. It is a very popular restaurant among teenagers who used to come to Galle for tuition classes. Eventhough we are not teenagers anymore, we decided to go to this restaurant as we still hadn't tried it out.

The restaurant located in a very narrow space which is faced to Galle railway station. On general terminologies, this restaurant is located in "Kunu Ela Road". The space is very narrow but it has been managed very well in a way that can providing seating for around 32 people for dine in. Even during our visit there were very few seats available.

Interiors are done in a rustic way. They have managed the small space they had with some attractive elements including lights, a swing and wall embedded carvings.

I am not sure whether the pain of wall has damaged or not, but the place is very clean for dine in.

The other speciality is, they serve food for wooden plates. It is quite attractive and all the things were neat and tidy.

Were were given the menu immediately and it consisted with various variety of good including rice, pasta, noodles, desserts and beverages. The menu had edited with stickers which is unpleasant but, under a such a economic situation this seems to be the best option.

I can not comment on price because at the moment all the goods are comparably higher but not quality.

We ordered a Mixed rice regular and a Monogolian regular. Both meals had enough veggies comparing to other restaurants we have tried out. I must say the Mongolian rice tasted bit different than general mongolian rice, I have a doubt whether it is a authentic mongolian rice or not. It was spicy and also had more and more veggies.

Mixed rice was very good. We requested only chicken and sea food. The regular potion was enough to one person. No extra nor less. Sharply fitted to our expectation.

Their service was average. The waiters looked so tired and I think the busyness of the location can be a reason to this. In general "Resturent Hungry" is a good place to grab your lunch, but not that suits to hangingout or spend more time by chatting. Because you need to hand over your seat to some one else as soon as you are done.
