WOX Travel Contest | Week 2 | España

Hello @o1eh and everyone who loves to travel and has had the opportunity.

I come to participate in the contest for a trip that I make between July 2021 and return to Spain in March 2022. Thanks to my children who sent me the ticket and per diem to be able to travel.

I had to take the covid19 test 24 hours before entering Spain, but from Venezuela there was no direct trip to the city of Madrid, so I had to stop in the Dominican Republic and take the test again to meet the hours.

I survived the trip, nothing easy to do for the elderly and alone.

Vengo a participar en el concurso de un viaje que realice entre julio 2021 y regrese marzo 2022 a España. Gracias a mis hijos que me enviaron el pasaje y los viáticos para poder viajar.

Tenia que realizarme la prueba del covid19 24 horas antes de entrar a España, pero desde Venezuela no había viaje directo a la ciudad de Madrid, así que tuve que detenerme en la República Dominicana y volverme hacer la prueba para cumplir con las horas.

Sobreviví al viaje, nada fácil de hacer para personas mayores y solas.

How much can you travel in eight months a country, a city and its surroundings. This was my second trip to Spain, the country of birth of my parents and grandparents. It is a country highly to enjoy for its tourist contribution, so many well-preserved historical places.

It was still difficult for me to take out my cell phone on the street, but security in many places is of total order. We had the mask in many places, mainly the closed ones.

The public services work perfectly after being in my Venezuela where the water arrives after four days, the light goes out without warning, the toilet happens when it can. Being there where taxes go where they should be at the service of the people. For me it was quite a change.

I saw a Spain updated to the changes, the town of my parents in Murcia was with many new constructions, the train service goes to the capital, not yet to the town of Archena, but there are buses.

Cuanto se puede viajar en ocho meses un país, una ciudad y sus alrededores. Este fue mi segundo viaje a España el país de nacimiento de mis padres y abuelos. Es un país altamente para disfrutar por su aporte turístico, tantos lugares históricos bien conservados.

Todavía me costaba sacar el móvil en la calle, pero la seguridad en muchos sitios es de orden total. Teníamos el tapabocas en muchos sitios principalmente los cerrados.

Los servicios públicos funcionan perfectamente después de estar en mi Venezuela donde el agua llega después de cuatro días, la luz se va sin avisar, el aseo pasa cuando puede. Estar allí donde los impuestos van a donde deben estar al servicio de la gente. Para mi fue todo un cambio.

Vi una España actualizada a los cambios, el pueblo de mis padres en Murcia estaba con muchas construcciones nuevas, el servicio de tren llega hasta la capital, todavía al pueblo Archena no, pero hay autobuses.

Visitar muchos lugares que me tenia planificado mi hija, me llevo Alcalá de Henares y visite la casa natal de Cervantes.

El acueducto de Segovia con su imponente construcción todavía en pie, construida por los romanos para llevar agua al pueblo. Allí conocí una leyenda sobre la aparición del diablo a una doncella para engañarla ofreciendole llevar el agua al pueblo.

Knowing the birthplace of Cervantes was a beautiful walk, we walked a lot because it is a beautiful university and tourist city. The restaurants offer cheap tourist menus of great variety.

Although they explained to us that most of the objects in the house did not belong to the family, because the house was destroyed and rebuilt in the same place, the objects do belong to the time they lived. In the central courtyard of the house there is a water well.

Conocer la casa natal de Cervantes fue un hermoso paseo, caminamos muchísimo porque es una hermosa ciudad universitaria y turistica. Los restaurantes ofrecen menus turísticos económicos de mucha variedad.

Aunque nos explicaron que la mayoría de los objetos en la casa no eran propios de la familia, porque la casa fue destruida y reconstruida en el mismo lugar, los objetos si pertenecen a la época que vivio. En el patio central de la casa hay un pozo de agua.

I was able to attend the Codifis Alcázar theater to see Soledad Bravo sing. I have always admired this singer who was born in Spain and brought to Venezuela when she was very young. It was a nice opportunity to hear it in the theater. I never expected to find her in Spain giving one of her concerts, we just coincided.

Pude asistir al teatro Codifis Alcázar a ver cantar a Soledad Bravo. Siempre he admirado a esta cantante nacida en España y llevada a Venezuela muy pequeña. Fue una bonita oportunidad de escucharla en el teatro. Jamás espere encontrarla en España dando uno de sus conciertos, simplemente coincidimos.

The theater is truly beautiful in all its decoration, good service, impeccable and modernized bathrooms. The sound was excellent.

El teatro hermoso en verdad en todo su decorado, una buena atención, baños impecables y modernizados. El sonido se escuchaba excelente.

What can I say about their meals full of old places and new styles, churros with chocolate in very old places, places with varieties of pizzas, serrano ham.

My daughter took me to a sushi place where you pay 12 euros and for an hour you serve all the sushi you want, you choose the plate that rolls around you on a moving band.

Que puedo decir de sus comidas lleno de lugares antiguos y estilos nuevos, churros con chocolate en locales muy antiguos, locales con variedades de pizzas, jamón serrano.

Mi hija me llevo a un local de sushi donde pagas 12 euros y por una hora te sirves todo el sushi que quieras, tu mismo escoges el plato que rueda por una banda móvil a tu alrededor.

Meal times drove me crazy, we had breakfast very early because my children were going to work and lunch was at three in the afternoon, at twelve noon my stomach said it couldn't take it.

It turns out that in Spain they eat breakfast, a half breakfast at 10 in the morning, then lunch at three, another snack or fruit at 5 and dinner at eight at night.

Los horarios de comidas me volvían loca desayunábamos muy temprano porque mis hijos se iban a trabajar y el almuerzo era a las tres de la tarde, a las doce del mediodía mi estomago decía que no aguantaba.

Resulta que en España se come el desayuno, un medio desayuno a las 10 de la mañana, luego a las tres el almuerzo, otra merienda o fruta a las 5 y la cena a las ocho de la noche.

I still have places to visit and others to share with you. So I hope to have a third trip to Spain.

Todavía me quedaron lugares por visitar y otros por compartir con ustedes. Así que espero tener un tercer viaje a España.
