I really like watching TV Series or movies based on true stories. And Apple TV has been a good creator of miniseries based on true stories. And "Black Bird" is the newest series in that collection.

"Black Bird" is based on an Autobiography, In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption by James Keene. James Keen is the main character of the story. The main character is starred by Taron Egerton.

Talking About the Story..

James Keen was a drug dealer who's father is a retired police officer. He was living a merry, high octane life doing anything he wants... until he got caught.

There were a load of drug substances and guns. And those things was enough to put him for 10 years even if he pled guilt. After a few days of his imprisonment, his father got sick and became like.. half - paralyzed.

And in the interim, FBI has some new plans for James Keen. They know what kinda personality James has.. And now, FBI wants to transfer him to a new prison so he could get to know and get information out of Larry Hall who is a convicted Serial Killer.

Larry Hall is a psycho killer who had killed young women and girls. FBI has solid foundation. But Larry Hall doesn't give any information thinking the murders are just nightmares of him. If James Keen will success in his task, he will be cleared from all charges and he can be with his sick father.

So, will James Keen be successful in his task?? I even don't know about that. Only 2 episodes were released yet.

I had a great time watching the first 2 episodes of this miniseries. I really like watching prison-related stories. This is not high-octane series like "Prison Break" but who knows how it's gonna be in upcoming episodes..

This is based on an Autobiography. So usually, these kinda stories receive very good ratings. And so does this one. IMDB votes are still low because it was released a few days ago. I hope this will do better in IMDB.
