Wood-Burned Art: Starro The Conqueror (Suicide Squad) (Club100)

Howdy folks! Hope you had a lovely day. Been hard at work as usual and wanted to get a post in before making some dinner and chilling out a bit before bed. This is one of the small ornament pieces that I made recently in preparation for the Punk Rock Flea Market in Trenton, NJ, USA.

This is my first major art exhibit (Covid-19 ruined what was supposed to be my first, a story for another time...) so I want to be prepared with lots of small, affordable trinkets. This is Starro the Conqueror from the DC comic turned movie(s), "Suicide Squad".

A slice of wood that amounts to the size of a coaster with a hole drilled so it can be hung, this is a small pyrography piece with a watercolor background. I use masking fluid to protect the areas I don't want watercolors to coat.

Once everything is dry, I just peel that masking fluid off (so satisfying) and everything is ready for sealer!
