What sympathetic situation do we have here?

My dear friend this week one of my friends faced a significant issue due to the dollar crisis in our country. My best friend’s son got a scholarship for Ph.D. at a UK university. They must pay the $441 visa application cost as well as the $2918 Immigration Health Insurance (IHI) fee when submitting a visa application. However, due to the dollar problem in our country, they are unable to do these transactions through any banks in Sri Lanka. The banks said that if people open an account for this purpose, it might take longer than two weeks to get money. Within the credit limit, HSBC credit card payments can be made for educational purposes. However, they only have a twenty thousand credit limit. IHI fee transaction exceeds one million. So, they were unable to find anyone who had more than one million credit limits. A friend of theirs who lives in Canada then agreed to do this payment. This person has made eight attempts, all of which have been rejected. They were unable to continue processing without performing the transaction. Then another relative who resides in the USA attempted to do this traction. He made two attempts, but both were unsuccessful. They have already wasted five days trying to complete this transaction. No one wants to accept our SLR, which is the reason for the delay. They believe that having a significant amount of SLR is useless. They attempted the undial system and the Payoneer account system but were unsuccessful. Later, the friend in Canada asked one of the pals in the UK to make this payment by transferring the funds to him. Fortunately, that attempt was a success.

The next payment they must make is the 451$ visa application fee. It could be done with their HSBC Credit Card. However, the first time it declined. After that, they called HSBC Bank to find out why the transaction had failed. According to the bank, the HSBC credit card permitted only Rs. 75,000.00 for foreign transactions. According to HSBC Bank, if the applicant can forward proof like an offer letter and CAS letter, they will be permitted to conduct this overseas transaction because it is for educational purposes.

After forwarding all these proofs, they finally permit them to complete this transaction. It took roughly three hours to complete this process.

Anyway, they could complete these transactions after wasting nearly a week. All these reasons are our country's economic crisis. Due to this situation, our younger generations experience a lot of difficulties both within our country and when attempting to leave this country. When we take into consideration of country’s situation, It is uncertain whether their son's visa application will be approved or not. This is the situation that our politicians present to us. How helpless are the people of this country?
