2017 Libertad Coin Set for Fiesta Tuesday!
It is Fiesta Tuesday once again. This post is especially for my bestie, @silverd510, who conceptualized the #fiestatuesday tag for anyone to showcase coins from one of the oldest mints in the world, and I any silver for that matter. We just want to have fun... it is a fiesta💃🌮!!!
The coins that I have outside the base of my stack ( which are ASE, US Constitutional silver and fractional gold) are business strikes and BU.
Except for my first 1 oz gold coin, I really do not search around for proof coins.
An example is my Libertad coins.
2017 Mexico Silver Libertad, BU
1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, 1/20 oz
The obverse of the Silver Libertad coin features the Mexican National Seal with an eagle atop a cactus, clutching a serpent in its beak. Surrounding the eagle are a wreath and the official name of Mexico in Spanish: "Estados Unidos Mexicanos."
The reverse depicts two key symbols of the Mexican people: the Angel of Independence and the Mexican volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Appearing in the forefront, the Winged Victory angel is a historic monument for the Mexican people and is considered the symbol of Mexico City. The Mexican volcanoes pictured in the background of the reverse memorialize the legend of the two lovers from whom they were named.

If the Libertad premiums were not higher than ASE, I’d probably be stacking them and not just “collecting” year sets. The same is true for the Britannia Bullion coin and the Maple Leaf Bullion coin. You have choice Mexican coins and always a treat to see them💪🏻👍. I will forward to Tuesday!🌺🤙

I remember you thinking of collecting the Libertad proof sets and it would be challenging to find them at a good price and adding to it is the milk spotting risk. But I'd be content with a few spots at the right price.

Very Nice Ms. Saver Highlighting the Mexican Silver and the two Volcanoes in Legend that Were Lovers. Sounds like there might Be some EXPLOSIVE Relationships there. Volcanoes can be Volatile as are Relationships at Time, but Lava Flows to the SEA and it is Quickly Calmed. @silversaver888
