BTC as a Store of Wealth
Let us say that I have $2,000.00.
In my Christmas wish list is a $20 St Gaudens Double Eagle.
Should I get more Bitcoin, or should I acquire the Gold Coin?

In case you are interested to know... I am just a regular American girl and a relatively average wage earner. I believe in saving fiat but I am also a precious metals stacker and believe in storing wealth in gold jewelry. I pay regularly towards a retirement account, have individual stocks and own a couple of equity funds and I am a passive real estate investor. Oh, in 2016 I opened a cryptocurrency account. In general, I have very conservative personal views about financial investments.
Gold has been a store of value since man discovered gold. Despite what others say, I don't believe that gold will cease to be a store of value anytime soon.
But I also have personally experienced and benefited from the bull run of Bitcoin towards the end of 2017 when I was able to pull out more from Bitcoin's value than my gold stack [will ever do to-date, I must add].
I personally think that Bitcoin will never replace gold, but [conservative as I am] I believe that Bitcoin has its place in anyone's portfolio.

I dont have any Bitcoin, but I have a tiny bit of Litecoin. I cant afford either right now but a couple of days ago when Bitcoin nearly touched the 6,000 mark was a good time to buy in my opiniom.
In other words, do you think, every time BitCoin hits a new Low, it's a Good time to Buy...
My question has to be... How far down would you be willing to follow BitCoin...???

I got my first Bitcoin for $633 and some cents in October 2016, I sold it for almost $6000 late October 2017, (then price double in December, I should have waited... but it scared me to death with the sudden increase in price... like one on hand than 2 in the bush, right... so sold that it right away. Do you recall the crash in 2014, I did not want to be part of statistics.) I cashed out, left a little in ETH, then got some fractions when the price went down. Like stacking.. it is a long game... and the money is made when you buy and you lose only if you sell lower than your buy price factoring in inflation. That is why I have not sold any of my silver yet. I am talking jibberish... just got home. Sorry for the late post for my 12 Days of Christmas. It is up now, bestie.

Lol, I spent most of my Bitcoin on Silver from Silvergoldbull.ca.
But I think crypto is a natural part of my Off The Grid savings. With the majority being in my favorite cold hard PMs.

I know that you were into cryptos way before I was. And I was not trading. Only bought that 1 bitcoin in 2016 because ThinkVesting convinced me. I signed up via his referral and invested six hundred some dollars, then sold it a year and a month later, but made so much than what I had hoped for from that one purchase. ThinkVesting on the other hand... he was mining Bitcoin, he is sort of a techy guy. He was able to buy a couple of investment properties in his homeland (he is an expat living in , Ummm... I forget now... was it Singapore?)
My adrenalin is going... I just got home from all the hustle and bustle of the holidays... gosh... it is crazy out there! I am glad I am in the quiet of my home.
I took several days off for the holidays, BTW, hehehe.

Gold! I love crypto but personally if i had that money to invest it would be into Monero if any crypto. It just has more real world uses atm be the legal or not is irrelevant lol.
But yeah gold has ha value for so long it's not going anywhere soon. If a nuclear war happened and the internet was taken down btc would be fucked but gold would still be sound.
