Un Peso for Fiesta Tuesday
Last week, @silverd510 featured a beautiful 1944 Mexican Un Peso Coin
That reminded me to bring out one of my Un Peso for today's Fiesta Tuesday.
Mexico ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS Peso
These are the mintage numbers and specifications for the Un Peso I will show today: Source:NGC
1925 Mexico Un Peso,
.72 silver
Obverse: National Coat of Arms of Mexico
Reverse: Liberty Cap above the value and date within a 3/4 wreath
Well... it is not in the shiniest of conditions. The quality of this coin is what @silverd510 refers to as "dirty" (meaning circulated)...but it definitely has the lovely charm of old world coins!

Very Nice, reminds me of my 'junk silver' ( I hate that term actually) days. It was after I bought my first 100+ ozT ASE purchase 😎 I was buying up all the Silver at a local 2nd hand shop, they had lots of Constitutional Silver in the carboard holders with clear plastic on both sides. Silver had gone up recently and I bought out as much as I could (largest stuff first!) before they re-priced it, so I got a lot of Constitutional Silver below SPOT 😋 That is how you build a STACK! Lots of these are presumably 'numis' I guess I should have them appraised and maybe sell them for actual value and buy more Bullion… 🤔🤔🤔

Buenos dias, I'd like to have a few coins from what is arguably the oldest operating mint the world. My first Mexican coin is the old 8 Reals 1794 and one day have one type coin from each era. Will try to post my 25 Peso later.

I know you like Mexican coinage. I really like them very much too! The Mexican coins have a hefty feel to them, don't you think so? I play with these as much as my US Constitutional silver when I want to be motivated to save more for silver, LOL!

I think it means Freedom and Liberty, or independence and liberty. Old coinage from Mexico are great to have in ones stack. I wish I had more of them. 🥰🥰🥰
