Crowd-Sourcing Contest Ideas for more creative, fun and inclusive contest topics!
Introduction
SteemAlive is community that love contests. For a long time now, we have always created and published at least one contest each week. Our contests are designed to be be engaging, creative and have some element of fun. We also make sure our contests educate both the readers and participants.
We always provide contest topics for our participants. However, we wish to make our contests more inclusive so that everyone would find it more interesting to participate. Besides, there is wisdom in many advisers. So we decided to crowd-source our contest topic for the coming week.
Suggest topics we could include in this week's contest
By Sunday we will publish another set of contest topics - at least 10. We want you to suggest topics you would like us to include for our upcoming contest. Before making suggestions, take note of the following:
1. Unique: We try to make our contest topics unique. That means it should not be a topic that other communities are currently featuring or a topic that has been featured recently by us. It should be a topic that is fresh and not too common. You can take a look at some of the topics we have featured some weeks back. We have listed the last 3 contest we did below so that you do not repeat the topics:
- SteemAlive Presents: ReadNwrite - A 7 day writing Challenge. Contest Prize: 20 Steem (+booming, trail)
- SteemAlive Presents Write2Live! - a 3-day mini writing Contest. Contest Prize: 10 Steem + Booming + Trail!
- SteemAlive Presents WriteMore! - a 3-day mini writing Contest. Contest Prize: 10 Steem + Booming + Trail!
2. Creative: Creativity is usually a feature of great contest topics. So make sure your topic will require users to make something special. Your topics should stimulate the participants imagination and help them to produce original ideas.
3. Fun: Your topics should can have some element of humor. We dont just want to write, learn and earn prizes. We want to catch some fun too. So let your topics create fun too.
4. Target Participants: The ideas you will suggest should be what almost everyone can do. So think of something that is common in life. Something that exists or happens almost everywhere so that as many people as possible will be free to participate.
Important note: For each contest topic you suggest, please briefly describe in one sentence or two what you expect participants to do.
Conclusion
From the pool of topics you suggest, we will select 10 or more which we will include in our topics for the following week. We will take ones that comply with the requirements above. We will also modify any topics we feel needs to be modified.
