Employing mechanisms to cause a posts with little to no value to be granted rewards that it otherwise would not receive.
Schemes are usually psychological in nature. For instance, posts that consist of essentially just "Upvote and resteem my post for free Steem/SBD" are gaming the rewards system without offering content of value.
It's a human exploit and causes people to opt out of curation and centralizes votes. Not good.
