Every country has its own traditions and culture, and people wear clothes according to them. Sometimes a country has more than one culture, so it may have regional cultural traditions. But overall, a country or region has more or less the same traditional values, customs, festivals, and clothing.

I live in Pakistan and I'm Muslim, Alhumdulilah. In Muslim culture, we used clothing that covered our full body. So, in Pakistan, our national dress is the shalwar kameez, but regionally, as culture varies, so does their wearing, but they are all modified versions of the shalwar kameez.

I live in Karachi, and the majority of the people here wear our traditional/national dress, the shalwar kameez.Males wear Shalwar Qameez with or without a toopi (cap), while women wear a scarf to cover their head and body.

Our traditional dress is the most comfortable, or I think a person always finds comfort in its tradition. As I live in a big city here, mostly men wear western clothing, and girls have adopted western culture along with our traditional. The fusion of both cultures is also common at my place.

In normal wear, we have both types of clothes: purely traditional and western (in males) or fusion (in females). There are many elegant designs with beautiful colours of shalwar kameez available. In offices or working places, males normally wear western dress.

On our festivals, we all wear our traditional dresses. Some designs and colours of our traditional dress are particularly used for our festivals. On festivals, we try to give our traditional outfits to our infants too.

Our wedding has traditional designs, and changes in colour themes, style accessories, and so on may occur according to new fashion, but the basic dress remains the same.We spent a lot of money on our wedding that was completely unnecessary.A bridal gown nowadays costs between 1-6 hundred thousand rupees, which is equivalent to 2000-12000 Steem.

In our wedding, gold jewellery is a must for the bride. Now days, in fashion, matching jewellery is used, but gold jewellery is given to the bride (as dowry), which is also difficult for the poor. Marriage is the easiest in Islam because there is no dowry, but in tradition, due to a lack of knowledge of Islam or due to hindu culture, marriages become difficult, especially for the poor.

Everyone wears clothes according to his status, so many different brands make dresses at low and high prices. But in general, shalwar kameez is an elegant garment. If you get a chance to come to Pakistan or see our traditional clothing in any global festival, you must try it, and I'm sure you will like our traditional clothing style.

In the end, I must say everyone likes their tradition and is obviously comfortable with it, but we must try others if we like them and try to fuse them with our own. All big designers are doing the same and producing new fashion by fusing two different traditions.
