Good day everyone and welcome to my first Tron fan club tutorial. Today we would be answering a couple of questions to ascertain what we know about Tronlink and we would even carry out some practically questions. We were also told to make use of an earlier lecture on this topic so I wouldn't be overstepping my boundaries. Sit tight and enjoy. Let's have a look at the first question

What do you know about TronLink Web Wallet?

Tronlink is a secure, user friendly web wallet that supports every Token made on the Tron blockchain. It has both an app and a browser extension. When you download the app, you can link your web extension to the app.

Tronlink let's one sign in and manage multiple accounts. It allows one to stake TRX for Tron power which enables one to vote for super representatives, send and receive TRX and other TRC tokens from one wallet to another, swap TRX and TRC tokens for each other. It also let's one pair their hard wallet with a cold wallet so their assets can be stored safely offline. They offer 1500 bandwidth everyday to their users so they can perform transactions without gas fees then the users get the energy themselves through staking.

How To Stake Trx To Receive Tron Power/energy And Tron Power/Bandwidth

In the previous question, I mentioned one of the things that can be done on Tronlink which is staking your TRX for Tron power. Just like Steemit, you use steem power to post, comment and vote for witnesses this also partially applies on Tronlink as we can change Tron to Tron power so we can carry out activities on Tronlink. When converted, 1 TRX would get you 1 Tron power. Tronlink energy and bandwidth is what gets consumed when performing transactions so they successfully eliminate gas fees. Let me run you through the process of staking.

Staking TRX to receive Tron Power /Energy

Step 1

Go into the app and select the wallet you want to use (for those who have multiple).

Step 2

Click on stake. Since we want to buy energy first, you click on energy. A space is given to you to put down the TRX you want to stake. Once you are done writing it down, the estimated energy you would get will be provided. When you're done with this, scroll to the end of the screen and click the stake identified below.

Step 3

This isn't really much of a step because it shows you the details of the transaction you want to carryout (staking) and seeks your confirmation. Once the transaction ends up successfully, you go to the homepage and see the addition made to the energy.

Staking TRX to receive Tron Power /Bandwidth

Step 1

It's almost the same process as earlier. You enter Tronlink and select your account.

Step 2

You click on stake, this Time you select bandwidth instead of energy in the resource page. Put in the amount of TRX you want to use for bandwidth and the estimated amount of bandwidth to be received after the staking is made available to us. After all this, you proceed to the end of the page and click the stake there to finalize the transaction.

After confirming the stake for bandwidth, you can go to the home screen to check your bandwidth and energy if they have increased as seen above.
Note All the staking transactions carried out in this question consumes bandwidth so if you notice, my bandwidth reduced in the first question and in the 2nd question.

Vote to Witnesses with your staked TRX (Tron Power)

Step 1

Enter the Tronlink app and click on the vote option next to the stake icon as identified above.

Step 2

After clicking vote, you will come across various super representatives listed in hierarchy of their influence in ascending order. So you choose one like I chose Ant Investment Group.

Step 3

After selecting, you click vote then this menu pops up. You select the amount of Tron power you want to use in voting. I have 25 TP so I voted him with 25. Then you confirm and input your password for the vote to be executed. Without your password, nothing we have done here can be executed.

Claim your TRX reward after at least 6 hours.

I started checking the app after 6 hours but the rewards hadn't arrived so I waited another 2 hours before I checked and saw them.

After seeing the rewards, you tap the claim button and a pop-up menu will appear asking you to confirm your withdraw which you are to click on confirm and type in your password for it to be completed.

Here is the transaction details from tronscan. This shows all the useful information about the transaction from the amount of blocks that confirmed it to the exact time it was executed and so on.

Many people (myself included) don't know most of these functions carried out by Tronlink. All it was being used for was as a wallet for TRX and TRC tokens. Without this assignment, we wouldn't know how tronlink can help us earn passive income and so many other things we learned from this lesson.
