But before I talk about my photos I share this evening i have to share this

The New Zealand accent was recently named 'Sexiest Accent in the World
Heres how it would sound in some romantic movies

Now some of it may be hard to follow with some of the Kiwi Slang so I may slip in the explanation of some kiwi slang from time to time in my posts, the Kiwi Language may now be called the sexiest in the word but I know it is often hard to understand because many of us talk so fast and have our own slang
One that comes to mind is the Wops and you may think this means something worse than it does, here is a case in point of how we would use it, someone may say about me ** He lives out in the wops**, what is actually meant is He lives in a place in the middle of nowhere or far away.

OK back to my walk photos, the first shot is just out of Grand Central and walking through this Alley way I the Helmsley building, I know many people walk the same route every day to and from the office, I have never been one for doing that and walk all kinds of ways to and from the office, but then again I have plenty of time so do not have to take the most direct path.

This next shot is in the same walkway as the first shot and shows some of the detail above one of the doorways, you may notice the Duane Reade sign is faded, thats because the store behind this is now empty and no longer a Duane Reade location

And now I am out of that alleyway and looking up Park Ave, as you can see it was a foggy and overcast morning, so the only shots I took on my morning walk to the office today were with my cellphone

And just a few steps down the road I grabbed this shot of one of the entrances into the Helmsley Building

And next I show you another common sight in NYC, Scaffolding over the footpaths as building work is going on, you see it everywhere you go

Another common sight you will see in the city in the early morning is the building maintenance tam spraying down the sidewalk, this is done almost every morning, and for the most part the people are pretty good and will stop spraying as people walk past, but not always i have had my feet and legs sprayed a few times

For todays post i seem to be on a roll of things commonly seen in the city, so sticking with that for this next shot, Film crews are often shooting all around the city and they it these signs up to direct people to the set in this case, there are often signs for a staging area, catering etc etc depending on how big the shoot is,
I think this sign is one they forgot to take down as I did look but there was no sig of any film crew around, or maybe they are coming later in the day
