A Mono kind of day with some color thrown in to balance it out

This morning when I got to the city, A thunderstorm was passing through, pouring down with rain and some impressive lightning and thunder, I made it a quick walk tot he office and didn't stop for any photos, I did manage to get my 7K goal for the day done plus a little bit extra between the rain showers and walking a little after lunch so all in all even with a rain a good day.
I didn't take any photos with my camera today but I did get a few shots with my iPhone to share in this post, Its funny when I think about it before starting with actifit and doing my actifit evening posts I seldom ever took photos with my phone now I take a few every day

Starting with a Mono shot, which really does not look much different from the original photo I took with my phone just with a Mono filter applied which made it looks bit better

Now during the day I did pop outside between rain for some steps and a break from the office this next shot also in Mono is looking at the traffic along the FDR Highway, whenever I see traffic like this it reaffirms that I am glad i come and go into the city on the Metro North trains

Now I start to transition to some color, you may think I did a selective mono edit on this shot but that is not the case, this is as the phone captured it, the fog and overcast skies make a lot of the image look mono but that's just how it was at the time, as this Coast Guard boat was zipping along the East River

Now to go a bit more colorful and bright, after the rain I I had to take a quick look at the roses they always seem more colorful and beautiful after rain especially when they still have drops on them

The first one i shared had such lovely warm colors but even one with subtle colors is beautiful such as the next one
